Inexpensive, lightweight bench option
I ordered this item with the chestnut turned legs. It shipped quickly and looks as pictured on the website. The legs are solid wood and really add to the appearance of the bench. The bench itself does not contain any solid wood. This is where the plywood and foam from the description comes in. The bench is very light and the craftsmanship on the upholstery underneath the bench leaves something wanting. You might need to supplement the staples with some fabric glue to make sure that the cloth on the bottom does not rip and sag. Though there's a big "Made in the USA" logo on the description, the label on the bench says Made in China. Either it's only distributed by a company in the US or the stateside company just makes the legs. If I'd brought one of the Shaker leg options, I'd be very disappointed. The bench itself is only worth about $$.
