Nice little lamp
I've had this for several months now and have had lots of time to live with it. Reading the other reviews, no, it is not very bright and cannot be used as a major light source or task light. I didn't expect that and didn't buy it for that. It is clearly only a decorative accent light, providing a subtle glow. It is very heavy, has a very dark brown finish, and the green shade is particularly beautiful (exactly as pictured). I had no problems inserting the single candelabra base bulb. My only complaints are that the details in the carving/finishing are not that fine (pretty rustic), and the frame was very slightly bent. I did consider returning it because wasn't sure if it matched our other decor, but kept it and am glad I did. It is well worth Overstock's very reasonable price.

Beautiful light, not enough illumination.
Let me begin by saying the lamp is gorgeous looking and made of very high quality materials. I would have given it five stars except for the fact that it is not nearly bright enough to be used for any sort of illumination. The glass on the lamp is so thick that the brightest bulb I could buy that would fit in the socket isn't able to shine through it. So while it will serve as an interesting decorative piece, I will be unable to use it as an actual light.

too difficult to insert bulb
I liked it but it was difficult to insert bulb and just didn't throw any light tooo dark but it was cute
