Great looking stools but be aware..... These stools look amazing once you finally get them put together. Like others have stated, the instructions aren't very clear, and you must take special care when opening up the glue bottle. Yes, the assembly process does require the use of wood glue which is included, but be careful or you will end up with glue everywhere! The manufacture could have packed the wood legs a little better, so expect a few scratches and nicks here and there. All said and done, you can't beat the price and quality of the final assembled product. The leather is soft and beautiful, and the espresso colored stain is quite nice as well. I would have to agree with a few other reviewers regarding the actual height of these stools. They are almost 30 inches high from the top of the leather seat to the tips of the legs, however when sat on, they sink down a few inches, so take that into consideration if you are purchasing for extra tall bar/counter tops. I would consider them 28in. and not 30in. stools. Hope this helps.

We bought the stools a little over a year ago, have only used them about 6 months in our new home and 2 of the leather buttons have broken off exposing some metal, causing a hasard for the kids and one completely came off and string coming out of the seat. No advice was given after talking with customer service on how to repair it and they would not send out new seat cushions for the product.

The stools were what we were looking for and the price was reasonable. The main concern so far is that one stool has about an 8" crease in the leather on top of the seat. The crease is probably due to the way it was stored in the box. We hope this will go away with time,

You get what you pay for. The wood quality is not fantastic, nor is the workmanship of the leather or the stitching. I've only had them for about a week and they are already showing signs of wear, but they are decent and cheap bar stools. I still recommend them for lower budgets.

These bar stools were a snap to put together. They arrived very quickly and we had them up and assembled in 30 minutes. They are perfect for our kitchen that needed two "conversation" stools to rest on when people gather around the kitchen, as they always do. My husband is big 6'4" guy and said they are very comfy. They match the color of our existing bar set and are a great stool for the money. I saw other stools in a big name store that were considerably more. I LOVE OVERSTOCK.

I was really surprised by these stools. NO - they are not leather but they are built very well and the finish on the wood is exceptional. It is a dark rich color that matches other pieces in our living room. The 30-inch height is great for our bar top. I really wasn't expecting leather at this price so I'm satisfied with the vinyl seats. The quality vinyl does fool the eyes into thinking they are leather even right adjacent to our real leather couch. Simple to put together as well.

I read the other reviews and then decided to get these, I'm not sorry, they are GORGEOUS. I think they're a very good price too for the look... they were easy to put together. Nice value.

I have had these bar stools for a couple of months. They arrived quickly. I assembled them myself. It took about 10 mins per chair. I gave the rating a 4 and not a 5 because the chairs are a bit wobbly. Nothing a cloth tab won't fix. The material seems to be pretty sturdy. We use ours daily, because the kitchen is the hot spot in the house. I was thinking about purchasing more for my bar area to use as additional seating. I really like the look. They look very modern and they are comfortable.

These saddle barstools were exactly the style I was looking for. For the price of the set, they are wonderful. The product listing on Overstock is exactly what was delivered, no surprises. The cushions are comfortable and they were fairly easy to put together. The only thing I added were some pads to the bottoms of the legs as the stools are on a hard surface in the kitchen and I was a little worried about scratches on the floor. But, a $3 fix was simple and worked great. Overall, love the barstools!

Great Product, easy to assemble, sturdy, well balanced.... I thought the stools were black but when I received them they were brown; but it's still fine... Leather seems very durable as well. Highly recommended

Bought 2 after doing kitchen remodel. Was surprised how few choices of padded saddle stools I could find on internet. When I did find them they were either vinyl (letherette) or MUCH more expensive. After reading many of the reviews we bought these and took the advise of many others and used our own wood glue. Easy to assembly and very good quality. Our guests commented frequently in first 2 weeks and like many others - we decided we needed a 3rd. Unfortunately, you cannot buy in singles so we sprung for another pair and now have a spare. The 2nd set did have one small defect though. One of the pilot holes was drilled at the wrong angle and the tip of the screw protruded just a bit where it should not have (very hard to see down on the foot rail) but still that shouldn't happen. Otherwise we love them , they are comfortable and get much use already. Several of our friends have requested info on how to buy them for their homes. One last thing we did I haven't seen mentioned is protected the leather. Since most will use these in kitchen or bar and leather is pourous - I recommend buying a can of leather protector and spraying the tops before you put then into service.

Stools look and feel great but as stated in a few previous reviews these are NOT 30" tall. The box even states they are 29". Then take into account that you'll sink into the padded saddle top and they're probably more like 26-27". Just a little too short for my "taller" bar top

These stools are very nice. Since I got them I have received many compliments on them. They were simple to assemble and look great. You won't be dissapointed.

Finally we found something that was the perfect size,comfort, and it's leather. All the leather ones i had seen were around $200 and were not that comfortable. I love these because they are wider and more comfortable than a square seat. the color is beauitful and the leather is perfect. it's not shiny like cheap stuff. We entertain a lot so it was important to have seating that was comfortable for our guests! LOVE it!!

These barstools are very nice and fairly easy to assemble. They are alittle woggly so I would suggest a heavier set person not sit on the stools. I wanted them for by kitchen island where the grandkids sit when they are visiting so for my purposes they are fine.

They fit perfectly under the island counter.We found that none of the little dogs could jump up on our laps - which is great for keeping them from "visiting" while we are eating and socializing with people. The big dogs don't bother us either.The stain on the wood is a dark color, however the actual wood is probably pine, so be aware that shoe heels will scratch and wear away the wood stain.The leather is not durable, however, most people should not notice. The two tufting buttons though are not well secured so DON'T pull on them for any reason!!!They are comfortable and stable. Similar saddle stools WITHOUT the cushion cost about the same.

The stools are beautiful! They are pretty comfortable. . . good for the price. Watch out for that glue bottle!! It will squirt ALL OVER!!
