I want to know what the dinner plate weighs. And why isn't that considered a major specs, description, or detail?? Some people want a heavy, rustic look and some don't or have problems handling a plates that weigh over 1 lb. I really wish you could add that spec.

These dishes are beautiful! I looked at several types of dinnerware sets over a couple of months time. When I found this set I bought 2 sets to serve 8. I fell in love with the square shape and the scrolled edging. When looking at them online I thought they might have been brighter white than I wanted. I am very pleased, I opened the boxes and found that they are an eggshell white and the scrolled edging has a slight antiqued hue. I'll use these for the holidays and other more formal meals. I ran them through my dishwasher and they did fine. Like with any dinner-ware or server-ware with a detailed edge I take extra measures in how I load them in the dishwasher to avoid any chipping. These dishes are so pretty with the opalescent finish that I am displaying these in my dining room hutch with my crystal drink-ware. I definitely recommend these lovely dishes. PERFECT!!!

Love these dishes! Exactly what I anticipated, size, color, beauty, etc. I do not abuse my dinnerware, so I expect them to last a long time. That being said, kids are grown, so no one around to abuse them. I wouldn't recommend with children. They set a beautiful table! Would definitely buy again.

Beautiful Very pretty updated design. My first set of square plates. I pull this set out about once a week for a change up from everyday dinnerware to a more ornate look. However, like most dinnerware, the pieces seem to be fragile so use with care. This is just a fun set! I would definitely buy them again. Be prepared. The dinner plates look huge at first if you've never used square plates before. Not an issue, however.
