I purchased this rocking chair for my baby nursery. What got my attention was the modern style of this rocking chair and that it would fit with the rest of the decor.A few things to know about this chair. Because of the style of this chair, when you sit in it you automatically lean pretty far back to begin with. It's not a chair that you sit straight up in. So inorder to rock the chair, you need to use your calf muscles by raising and lowering your legs (like going up and down on your tippy toes). This is great for building nice calf muscles! I'm 5'-8" so it's not that difficult for me to easily reach the floor to rock, but if you are a petite framed person this chair wouldn't be very comfortable for you.Regarding the cushion- it is made 2" too wide for the seat. So it bunches up near the arms and looks very sloppy all the time. The pad is only about 1 1/2" thick so the foam will wear down very quickly. You will need to have another cushion made pretty soon after purchasing if you sit in this chair on a regular basis. The microsuede material is pretty cheap looking, and again, the fabric cover is made too large for the foam insert. Definitely a sloppy look overall. I think it looks better without the cushion!Even with these complaints, I still would recommend the chair to others. I am going to have a new cushion made (in the proper size) in a fun fabric and I think that will make a huge difference. One wish I have is that the frame was offered in a black finish. It was very easy to put together, I can see that I will probably have to tighten the screws occasionally to keep it sturdy, but you would have that with any piece of furniture that you put together yourself.
