I purchased this rocking chair for my baby nursery. What got my attention was the modern style of this rocking chair and that it would fit with the rest of the decor.A few things to know about this chair. Because of the style of this chair, when you sit in it you automatically lean pretty far back to begin with. It's not a chair that you sit straight up in. So inorder to rock the chair, you need to use your calf muscles by raising and lowering your legs (like going up and down on your tippy toes). This is great for building nice calf muscles! I'm 5'-8" so it's not that difficult for me to easily reach the floor to rock, but if you are a petite framed person this chair wouldn't be very comfortable for you.Regarding the cushion- it is made 2" too wide for the seat. So it bunches up near the arms and looks very sloppy all the time. The pad is only about 1 1/2" thick so the foam will wear down very quickly. You will need to have another cushion made pretty soon after purchasing if you sit in this chair on a regular basis. The microsuede material is pretty cheap looking, and again, the fabric cover is made too large for the foam insert. Definitely a sloppy look overall. I think it looks better without the cushion!Even with these complaints, I still would recommend the chair to others. I am going to have a new cushion made (in the proper size) in a fun fabric and I think that will make a huge difference. One wish I have is that the frame was offered in a black finish. It was very easy to put together, I can see that I will probably have to tighten the screws occasionally to keep it sturdy, but you would have that with any piece of furniture that you put together yourself.
The padded cover is rather cheap looking, however, the chair and black netting is very nice. I needed a rocking chair for the new grandbaby, and this worked well. Matched my cherry wood furniture nicely.
I bought the chair after looking for a glider that would be modern but inexpensive. Since i did not have any luck with gliders i decided to try out the rocker and really like it. The foam pad is not that great: for extra $10 though it is not a bad deal. The foam could be easily replaced with a better piece when necessary.
It has a nice high back, and the lumbar support is contoured perfectly to be ergonomic and comfortable. However, the picture doesn't show the black mesh chair back, which looks like it belongs out on the patio. The padding was the biggest problem. It was all mushed up in the box, and never regained the shape, therefore looks cheap and misshapened. It is way more comfortable that beautiful!
The chair is al ittle bigger than I thought. I don't like how the black underseat shows on the side...the seat cover doesn't cover it all. I am 5'3" and my feet can barely touch the ground to make it rock. Definitely get what you pay for. It is not a bad looking chair though.

I must tell you that this is a "second hand" review. I had this rocker sent to my daughter-in-law in a different state. She is pregnant with my second grandbaby. According to my son, daughter-in-law, and 4 year old granddaughter, the rocker is a very nice size, rocks easily and will be a much appreciated addition to the nursery when baby #2 arrives in a few weeks.
I purchased this rocking chair for my Daughter and Granddaughter (20 months) for story time before bed. They love it....My Granddaughter uses it to rock her babies, and insist's on everyone who visit's to sit in it to rock her. The chair does have a bit of a squeaking problem due to the webbing, however I believe it will subside with use. Overall it's a great chair, and the price can't be beat. It's also the perfect size for a small apartment.
I purchased two of these chairs, and at the time of purchase I knew they weren't high quality chairs. This price indicates the quality. I purchased them for my office merely as accent chairs The chairs were easy enough to assemble except that only one of them assembled properly. The second chair had problems with small metal peices inside the wood frame of the back where a screw is to go through the arm to connect the arm to the back of the chair. The screw merely kept spinning around and not anchoring to the metal piece inside the wood. Fortunately my husband is very handy at carpentry and was able to fix it, otherwise I would have sent the chair back for replacement. Otherwise the chairs are fine for just an accent chair in my office where they will not get high volume usage such as in a home.
I put this chair together by myself, it was that easy, I find myself going to this rocker more the any other chair in my home. I am enjoying it, I would recommend this chair.
I purchased this rocker because my mom had one when I was growing up and used to rock my brother and I in it. Bentwood rockers are known for their good quality. This rocker that I purchased was not at all what I expected. The cover doesn't cover the black seating of the rocker, so it looks cheap. It is not comfortable at all and it isn't even easy to rock in. Plus, where the arms are located it is not convenient if you are rocking a baby to sleep because they are right near the baby's head. I would not recommend this rocker.
Attractive and a good price but it doesnt actually rock back and forth as much I would have thought. Bit disappointing as I bought it for a newborn feeding chair. It is nice to look at and comfortable to sit on but needs more action!
The chair is supposed to have a uniformed arch at the bottom so it can rock smoothly. This chair does not. It has a bump in one area that is very noticeable and does not rock the way it should. The directions have no words and I had to open the picture on overstock.com to see what it should look like.
Product arrived much sooner than expected (Yeah!) However, assembly instructions were VERY faded and difficult to understand. Ordered matching chairs as anniversary gift to each other. My husband's is still fine - mine, however, started to split immediately. If the issue was weight (there is no limit stated) his should have been the one to go. However, mine receives more use. I can only guess that this is the problem. My husband braced the base and superglued parts together. It is still barely attached but functional. Wish it worked better - they are VERY comfortable.
The stain on the wood parts was missing in several places. The assembly instructions were not readable. The cushion for seat and back came creased and we are unable to get them to lay flat.
Easy to assemble. It has taken a while for the chair to rock back and forth smoothly. Happy with the chair over all. Very comfortable and looks good in the room.
Everything is great, a good value. The assembly instructions are a photocopy that can barely be read and understood, and one of the assembly steps is about thightening a bolt and a nut which both have allen heads, but they only provide one so I had to head out to buy an additional. Other than that the product is very good and quality is good.
I was very excited about purchasing this rocking chair, as it seemed to be a good deal. Unfortunately, the chair is not very high quality. The wood finishing is poor (rough edges and inconsistent stain), the assembly screws are very low quality and stripped immediately, and the cushion is an ugly foam pad that was damaged in shipping and has not regained its shape. Although the chair is very inexpensive, you are probably better off buying a regular wooden-fram rocker.
