Bentley Black 5-drawer Chest

Smaller then I'd hoped. Several drawer fronts are scratched so I have to wait for replacemant parts.Would not buy this again.

Worst piece of furniture I have ever bought. One star is being generous. It honestly took forever to put together, and takes a lot of work to assemble. Looks nice in the photos, but is nothing like that when you actually have it in your house. It doesnt come with a proper back, you have to nail down a piece of particle board to the back that isn't even long enough and is pretty flimsy. The wood is very cheap as it is particle board and the black coating is weird and comes off pretty easily. It shows marks like you cant believe and I was constantly having to wipe it with a damp cloth to get rid of dust and glass ring marks. The feeling of this piece as a whole is just plain cheap. The drawers would constantly get stuck and then after a few days, they started falling off the tracks every single time I would open them. It got to the point where I never put them back on the tracks because I was so sick of fixing the drawer and it would just fall down again. My boyfriend would get really annoyed every time he heard a drawer fall when I was opening it, he would tell me to take it out to the trash, after one week of me owning it. Not only do they fall down, they do not shut properly, which makes the dresser look totally cheap because none of the drawers are uniform. I thought paying $**** for this was a great price, I then realized that you get what you pay for. They send you a black marker along with it so you can color in marks if it gets knicked. This made me think that if this was a good enough quality piece of furniture, I would not need a cheap little black marker to fix the damage it had from being shipped. Also when it arrived, there were all kinds of sticky marks on the black pieces from being shipped that I had to wipe off, and they didn't completely come off, same happened with the matching nightstand I bought. Overall, I wish I had never wasted my money on this thing and now I am trying to sell it on Craigslist for a fraction of what I paid. Best thing about this are the silver knobs that come with it.

Assemby was not too difficult, although time consuming. There was one specialized screw missing, so we had to improvise. Two pieces had small chips in them when we opened the pacakage.The material of the wood shows a lot of dust and smudges very easily. Other than that, I am happy with the drawer size, the ease of sliding the drawers and the overall size and appearance of the dresser.

Putting the chest of drawers together took 5 hours with a power drill, much past the suggested time given in the instructions. The quality is horrendous. None of the drawers fit tightly against the chest and I don't have confidence the piece will last longer than 6 months.
