  I liked the look of the bench. However, de-laminating paint after less than a year is unacceptable. I purchased three benches to sit side by side, and each bench is slightly different in height. I decided to accept this, but it is strange that each bench is slightly wonky. However, the de-laminating paint is the real problem. I don't want to have to remove paint from all three benches and then re-paint. Big pain. Big time problem. Furniture should last more than 10 months!!!

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Poor. One bench arrived broken. Overstock replaced it. However, in less than 10 months the black paint on the legs began to buckle and peel. It was not mistreated in any manner. Overstock refused to accept return or repair, etc.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? pretty accurate. However, the product had strong outgassing smell.

  I bought this stool as a foot rest to replace an old ottoman, but it is a tad tall making it uncomfortable for that. It fits as a second seat for the piano, although not really tall enough to play for long. It would be the perfect height for a vanity or desk. It is a handsome piece and great for the money.

  I needed a bench for my apartment entryway to sit down when putting shoes on/taking them off, putting grocery bags down when you come right in and this bench is perfect. It's sturdy, two people can easily sit on the bench at the same time without breaking it (I'm a 190lbs guy and this thing doesn't even make a sound when I sit on it!) I looked at many other leather benches here on Overstock and compared their reviews and ultimately decided to go for this one because of it's open design (as compared to having a 'leather box'), and it's lack of moving parts (no hinges than can break, etc.). Also, the combination of wood and the leather seating surface give it a very classy, high-end design. I'm very happy with it. Easy to assemble, too (took about 30 minutes from unpacking to sitting on it).

  This was a perfect purchase for the use intended - as a window seat but something we could take with us if we ever sold the house. Having exact measurements on-line helped us make up our minds to purchase this before construction began on the bookcases on the adjoining wall. We had no surprises when it arrived and it was well packaged and easy to assemble - which only meant attaching four legs and two sides. Make sure you decide how you want this oriented while assembling because the fabric pattern is script which can't be read upside down - you can attach right and left sides to either end so that your favorite script is oriented toward the most viewed side.
