This is a perfect desk for a small to medium size office or space. Well packaged. Delivered quickly and without any damages. No need to attach the bottom shelf unless you plan to use this as an entrance table. So save it for later. The draw on the desk is already assembled and opens and closes with ease. You only need to attach the legs. I've had no problems with scratches. But then again I have not dragged anything across the surface of the desk and most likely will not. I enjoy sitting and working at my desk. It's fit for a queen :0) Enjoy!!!

I just received my new desk tonight and could NOT wait to put it together. Upon building, my husband told me that a critical piece was missing from a leg, but luckily we were able to fix it with an anchor! Other than that, assembly was a breeze! There were also a few MINOR scratches but I had already expected that with delivery. I was able to fill those in with marker and they are no longer a problem. (Sorry, I'm a perfectionist) This desk is also very sturdy once it is put together. Overall, my new desk is beautiful and I absolutely love it! This is a great computer desk, as well as a new decoration for our home. I am so glad I purchased this desk.

I needed a desk that was not too large to go in my bedroom for my all-on-one desktop computer. This piece is sufficient for that purpose however do not expect this to be a high quality piece that will last for years. We received it with several nicks, dings and dents and the paint isn't consistent and even all over (appears thicker in some places). We had an issue with one leg that came off because they are held by cheap particle board. For the price, I am not totally displeased - you pay for what you get. It does look nice and visitors can't see the same flaws I do.

I really enjoy this desk...it looks fanastic in my office, very classy. You will need to have a placemat or mat underneath your laptop or lamp because this sratches VERY easily. Also lining up the bottom shelf is not an easy task...alining the holes just right is difficult...which is why I gave a good rating versus excellent...and the scratching!

I decided to use this "desk" as a table in my guest room. it's just the look I was hoping for. I love the fact that it's oval rather than a traditional rectangle. It adds character and warmth to my room....and.....my husband uses it for his "office desk" when he works from home. It's perfect on all accounts!

This is a beautiful, well made, solid wood desk that was purchased for a small office/guest room. It looks wonderful in this space. It is easy to put together though I didn't use the lower shelf as it wasn't needed. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

This is a great desk for a small home office. The desk is very pretty and feminine. The size is somewhat small so I was not able to put my rather large computer monitor on it, but that was okay. Overall the desk is very nice, upscale, contemporary, and can be dressed up or down. I love it. And kudos to Overstock - my desk arrived in about 2 days after I placed my order! Very impressive.

Exactly as described, I was hoping the lower shelf was not needed for assembly and it's not so I discarded it!

I was looking for a small writing desk to fit into an odd space, so I was thrilled when I found this one - it was just what I wanted. It was so easy to put together, since the the top part with the drawer was all pre-assembled. My only reservations about it are that the drawer track is a bit wobbly, and the finish of the top is not as smooth as I would like, but that's only because I'm comparing it to an entry table by a different manufacturer. But, for a seldom used piece of furniture filling an awkward space, this is perfect.

Love my new "desk"!! Fit perfectly in with existing decor and space. Arrived promptly, easy to follow directions, assembled on my own in about 45 minutes. Best feature is that it presents as a beautiful piece of furniture when not in use as desk. Great value, would highly recommend to those with a smaller living space that need a desk.

Little confusion on the dimensions. For whatever reason I thought it was closer to 42" in width and it was quite a bit bigger than that -- ended up the 42" dimension was the shelf dimension, but from the photo the desk and the shelf appears to be essentially the same size. Luckily because it is rounded it still fit where I needed it to go. Other than that it is fine.

This terrific oval shaped desk is exactly what I expected to receive after ordering. The nice, tapered legs curve elegantly down to a fixed shelf. The top surface is not too soft or grained, but also not polished or shiny. It was a bit of assembly, but again, that was expected. I'm very happy with the assembled desk and it fits the exact dimensions listed, so it fit perfectly in the narrow space it was intended for. The finish is overall a nice, soft black, and it is sturdy and substantial. I recommend this desk for its design, quality, and value for the price!

I love this desk. It is exactly what I was imagining for the area. We use it for a computer desk as well as a decorative piece in the room. It is sturdy and very easy to put together. Well worth the money.
