I have been looking for a bed that will match some inherited teak pieces, and this is perfect. All three boxes came within a week. The bed itself is well made and very solid once assembled. Although the directions (which are clearly written and easy to follow) suggest two adults for assembly, I was able to put it together myself in about three hours. Do have a power drill on hand, though. You'll need it for the 24 screws without pilot holes for the slats... Be aware that, should you choose to use a box spring as well as a mattress, the surface will be about three feet off the ground. I am 5'6" and have to hurdle myself onto it! (The cats love this, however.) All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase, my first from overstock.com.

In short, if you are still unsure about purchasing this bed, all I can say is BUY IT! I flip-flopped around for a few weeks uncertain if I should purchase a bed from Overstock. Well, I took the plunge and finally did. I ordered on a Sunday and it arrived that Friday, talk about fast! The pieces were well packed and nothing was missing or damaged. I must admit, despite the other reviews, I found this bed very easy to assemble alone, taking me about 1 hour. But I suppose depending on your skill level, the assembly experience will probably vary. Anyway, once assembled this bed becomes a very beautiful furniture piece. Solid wood of excellent quality and a very nice rich walnut finish. I have this bed in a Japanese themed room and it fits very well. If you are a fan of simple, clean design, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered the bed along with one of the two dressers and received six boxes in total. I have to say that at first it looked increadibly daunting. Still, my friend and I took it step by step and found the instructions generally well written if a bit sparse. Onto the piece. I cannot speak highly enough of this bed. It transcends beautiful -- it is stunning. Clean, simple, elegant lines and wood that well exceeds the quality one would expect for this price range. The fixtures are made of solid brass and are easy to disassemble, in case of a needed move someday. The wood is supple to the touch and hefty in feel indicating a solid construction and not particleboard or pressed wood with laminate. One thing I would add, though, is that my piece came slightly darker than appears in its photo. As a photographer, my monitor is color calibrated so I know the photo was probably a bit light. For me this is great as I worried that it might actually be too light for my taste. In summation: Highly recommended.

Based on the awesome reviews I've been reading on this bed, I decided to go ahead and order it. Like most have said, it is a great really modern bed, a bit more of a dark reddish brown than pictured. The height where the mattress would be placed is 15" from the ground, so to place a box spring would not only be too high, but would block out a portion of the lovely head board. There are also 4 little legs in the center of the bed should there be a need for extra support. And as most people have complained about, the annoying part is putting the headboard together, but other than that, the rest was pretty straightforward, just need a electric screwdriver to screw in the slats of the platform (no pre-drilled holes). Besides carrying the 3 boxes up 2 flights of stairs (overstock left in lobby) it was an awesome first time buy!

We were looking for a reasonably priced bed for a guest room. I looked all over locally but could not find what I wanted at the right price point. Found this one, read the reviews and ordered. Very happy. Fast delivery - ordered on a Saturday, it arrived on Thursday. Good quality bed - took a bit of time to assemble but is very sturdy and very attractive. The mattress - oh wow - we ordered the 10 inch Bodipedic. For the price, under $400 for a queen size with cover, it was a great buy and it is wonderful. Our first guest slept on it this weekend and said it was super comfortable. Very pleased with service and product.

After I purchased this product I was really excited and even more excited when I saw the first box came two days later.. I didnt realize there were two other boxes and they all came one day after another which was fine. After reading some reviews I was alil worried about assembly but overall it wasnt that bad.. except when using the allen wrench. (VERY TEDIOUS!) once we moved past that it was great! The bed looks wonderful and I am very satisfied with the quality.

It was easy to assemble. I didnt think I could do this by myself... I have a hard time assembling colored blocks... let alone a bed. So if you are one of those people like me... this is the perfect bed to assemble. After it was all done... I jumped on top of the bed to test my assemby and nothing broke. Thank god. All the pieces were numbered. Leaving very little to think. I recommend this bed to anyone that hates reading directions, like me.

This bedframe has survived 5 moves in the past 2 years! It was made with very high quality material and construction. The wood finish is also very lovely. Don't forget to get matching night stands.

i like the look, it's a great value, just disappointed in the craftmanship. two of the supports weren't drilled right before I tried installing and so i don't know what to do or how long the bed will even last, since 2 of the main supports are not functional - really a bummer!! spent hours putting together but it does look beautiful. LOOK - not sure if worth the labor.. maybe mine was just faulty? I don't know..

We are very happy customers. The many positive reviews allowed us to order with confidence and the bed still exceeded expectations. Fast shipping, solid construction, and looks great. Assembly was pretty straightforward. We just followed the step by step instructions and it took about 1 1/2 hours to put together.

Beautiful color of wood with a sturdy frame. Instead of the super glue provided, I used wood glue for the wooden dowel-to-hole assembly. I'm very happy with this purchase!

I absolutely love this bed. It is such a beautiful, modern piece, yet it is strong and well designed. I sleep so well now because the slats included for support are comfortable. We don't need a boxspring anymore. I would recommend this bed because it is a high quality piece at a great price. You can't get this quality and price anywhere else. We are going to buy the matching nightstands soon!!

This is a great product. It meets my needs of allowing my extra storage under my bed in an apartment with limited storage. I can fit up to a 10 inch container under the bed. Other than the headboard which was difficult to put together, the rest of the bed went together easily. It is a great product for anyone looking to raise their bed or for more storage space.

This is a fantastic bed. I waited months for it to come back into stock on Overstock and bought it immediately. It had great reviews and did not disappoint! The bed is extremely sturdy and attractive. I have the headboard in front of a window and, because of the open design, it does not block the light at all. I've whanged my leg on the top corner of the footboard a few times, but it's pretty obvious from the picture that it's a fairly sharp corner (and I wouldn't have a problem if my bedroom were larger). My one warning is that assembly is not a piece of cake. I'm a woman who's capable with tools and has assembled a lot of Ikea furniture over the years, but this was considerably harder. Building it (by myself) took about three hours. Two hours of that was dealing with the headboard alone. (If I had it to build again, I'd want a helper.) * Be warned! The interior (non-visible) components of the bed are made of a black, plastic-type substance that was nonetheless very splintery. I got several devilishly painful splinters in my fingers and hands before learning to pick up those pieces more carefully. * As other commenters have noted, the slots to insert the long bolts that connect the headboard to the vertical supports on each side are completely inadequate. They are too narrow to allow more than 1/8 turn of the screw using the Allen wrench provided, and too short to fit any other Allen wrench that I had. I ended up screwing the bolts in by hand, which was both tedious and painful (and probably impossible if you have large hands that can't fit in the tiny slot), and then doing the last bit of screwing by using the Allen wrench one tiny turn at a time. * The dowel-and-glue construction on the headboard doesn't work well (the holes for the dowels are too long, so the glue just sits in the bottom of the hole and doesn't really reach the dowels). * There are no screw holes for the slats so you must drill them yourself and take a guess at how far apart they should be (or pull out your measuring tape). All that said, I love this bed, and it was worth it. I figure this is one of those projects you curse while you're doing it but are grateful for later.

This bed is well made and lasting so well, that after having it for 4 years now, my daughter purchased it in white for her apartment. Such a classic! Looks like we paid a fortune for it from West Elm or one of those Euro stores. Love Love Love the look of this bed.

This bed is attractive and substantial. The assembly instructions are awful and there are a 2, inconspicuous places where adjoining parts did not secure and left 2-4 mm gaps.

If you read and follow the instructions you should not have major issues putting this bed together, but it does take a little time. However, after completion, the bed is sturdy, with all pieces matching up fine. It works perfectly in my rather small master bedroom. I purchased an 8" memory foam mattress to go with it. In hindsight I think a 10 or 12 inch mattress might look better with the platform style, but that is just a minor aesthetic issue. In all I strongly recommend this bed.

I needed another bed for my home as my current one was so high - well this was is lower than you might think form the photos. Read those descriptions carefully so you will not be disappointed. The bed was easy to assemble with the help of another person. The bed looks great and feels fine! I am happy with my purchase. Thanks O.co for yet another successful purchase.

We are very happy with our Bello Walnut Cherry Queen-size Bed. Although it was tedious to put together, it is well worth the effort (READ the directions completely before attempting to put this product together) and aggravation. I have no hesitation of recommending this product to anyone looking for a strong, sturdy and nice looking piece of furniture. The only complaint that I have (and it's really my own fault for not measuring first) is that I had to ditch my box spring in order to fit the bed in my attic loft. Previous reviewers pointed out that 'flaw', but I thought it would be great to have a bed so high off of the ground (save some wear and tear on my knees), unfortunately, I didn't take into account the shape of the roof in my loft space. Whoops. Oh well, it is just as comfortable without the box spring as it was with, but I feel like the money spent on the box spring was a waste. Love my new bed!
