I had to recruit a handy friend and putting together wasn't too bad but it took a solid 3 hours. I was expecting a glossy, laquered type finish and was a bit suprised to see that it is wood, and you can see some wood grains. It's semi-gloss, and white paint that was much flatter than I imagined. But it totally works and overall looks great. Very modern and stylish. The white looks so great, I'm so happy I didn't do the trendy dark woods. Similar to items they have in the contemporary and expensive furniture stores. I get tons of complements. I love my new room! It was my first time using Overstock and I'm very happy with them. The shipping was cheap, easy and super quick. My items arrived before I did!

The glossy white finish goes beautifully with our walls which are beadboarded on the bottom and deep blue on top. The sturdiness of the frame is great, far better than the metal frame we previously had.

The bed came in three parts. The rails, the head and foot board and the frame. I have a small power tool that was perfect. It took me about 1 1/2 hour to put it together and I was satisfied with the overall product. It is nice and heavy. I did all the assembly work and my husband helped move the heavy boxes. This frame is not for a box spring and mattress, but a mattress only, which I love. It has soooo many slats so the support is wonderful.

So I bought this bed frame becasue 1 - the design looked cool and 2 - the price was great. I will agree with other reviewers that the assembly design of the headboard was very poor and took FOREVER!!! but once that was done the rest of the bed went together smoothly. Overall the bed is sturdy and for the price very nice. The gloss finish is decent.

Not only is this bed absolutely adorable, but its very classy for its price point and the fact that its white. I can totally make this look like a teenage bed with a colorful spread, or a nice elegant one with a different comforter/duvet. I am so happy with this purchase & like other people have written, the only problem i found was the headboard was a little bit of a pain to put together. Not because you have to put the shapes together, it comes as one piece, but the way you screw it to the side posts is a little hard to get at...not ideal for men with large hands! Otherwise, awesome! Love it, its beautiful & sturdy!

We were aprehensive that there wouldn't be enough hardware to assemble the bed after reading the reviews, but we had no problems at all - there was everything we needed to assemble and it went together easily. The bed looks teriffic, is sturdy but not overbuilt. We looked at several well known cataloges and furniture store beds before deciding to go with this one. Glad we did. Its exceeded our expectations in looks and finish.

Solid, good looking bed. Exaclty like the picture. Far and away better than Ikea stuff. No creaking. Fairly to very stable. Only 2 issues: 1) Not enough wood slats. I recommned a 'bunky board' on top of the slats as extra support, especially for a nice, expensive mattress. 2) The headboard assembly is RIDICULOUS! I am a fairly handy guy, and the way the headbaord is put together is absurd. Strange angles and hex screws. I got it done, but really, way more difficult than it needed to be.

If you have ever assembled furniture, this is a snap. You need to use a drill, as hand-screwing each of the slats of the platform would be a total drag. It arrived free of all scratches, and looks amazing with an 8" memory foam mattress. A+

The quality was okay for the price, but materials and how they fit together could be improved. The two support center supports that run the length of the bed are connected to the footboard, so a dust ruffle is blocked from hanging properly at the foot of the bed. I concur with other feedback, that the assembly does take a few hours.

The color is very nice. Totally, I think it worth the price. But there are some scrachs here and there, and the worst is one step of the assembling is really a stupid designing! Anyway, I finally finished it and make it look great.

My bed came with all the parts and I assembled by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. It would be MUCH easier with a 2nd person to hold things in place. Craftmanship was good for the money. My bed had one scratch at the bottom and 1 "ding" in the top, but nothing too noticable. I figure I can fill in with a touch of paint. The color is a nice white -- not creamy, but not too optic either. I would say it is like a semi-gloss -- not like a high enamel gloss. Looks great in my modern loft apartment!

we ordered this bed for our daughter's room. the original bed came damaged but was quickly replaced..that is the good. The bad.. my husband has been working for 3 hours and it still doesn't look like a bed. Although the bed will look great when finished the assembly is over the top. I would not recommend this product unless you have hours for assembly.

I hesitated for a couple of weeks before ordering this product. I finally ordered it and it arrived promptly in three well packaged boxes. The finish was a beautiful bright white and the product is rock-solid and well constructed. Based on other reviews I took the time to read the assembly instructions all the way before beginning assembly and it went flawlessly (even with the super glue!). This really is a beautiful bed and I would recommend it to anyone!

The bed arrived in 3 boxes...packed very well. All pieces arrived in very good condition. The finish on the bed is more of a semi-gloss/egg shell finish...not a high gloss white. Very easy to assemble. Very, very sturdy. I would absolutely recommend this bed...and using Overstock.com.

I'M SO HAPPY WITH IS PURCHASE QUILTY BED AND PRICE IS RIGHT. TOOK ABOUT 2 HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POWER DRIVER, BUT THIS BED LOOKS AS GOOD AS IT DOES IN THE PICTURE.

workmanship is very nice. The assembling toolsprovided in box are very interesting, it took me 2 minutes to figure out how to use. once figured out, it worked like a charm. No need of using strong muscles, I am very happy about that, because I am a young woman. The white color actually goes with any other furniture in my home. The white color actually tone up the whole room a lot. I enjoy it ever since I assembled it. Overstock service is the best, and it is easy to contact there customer services.
