Belfast 24-inch Saddle Stool (Set of 2)

These are solid, sturdy stools and exactly what I was looking for. The price was great and honestly the quality is better than I expected. My only complaints are in the assembly - the allen wrench provided simply doesn't work. I am not a novice when it comes to furniture assembly and I was having a very difficult time getting the first stool together. I finally found another allen wrench from some other furniture and it went together beautifully. But I wasted probably 30 minutes before I figured this out. Secondly, one of the screw holes was too large for the wooden plug and it fell into the hole. Only noticeable if you go looking for it but still irksome. I recommend using wood glue when putting the plugs in, otherwise they're a little loose. Besides these small things - great stools and would purchase again.

These stools fit perfectly underneath the counter ledge on our kitchen island. I like that they slide all the way under the ledge and don't stick out if no one is sitting in them. As for comfort, they're not amazingly comfortable (not sure what you would expect from a saddle stool without a back anyways) but they're not bad. The quality is good for us, we don't seem to have some of the issues that other reviewers have if heavier people sit in them (my husband is 240 and they hold up well!). In fact, we are buying 2 more to have when people visit and congregate in the kitchen!

I bought these to go near the island in my kitchen. They came unassembled but that was no problem. The assembly was very easy as I put them together with no help. They are very nice looking and sturdy, I use them for a step stool from time to time. Although they are black they blend perfectly with my brown/black dinette.
