The saddle chairs are of good quality wood, the color matched perfectly as shown on the webpage. The only disappointment was there was a piece missing on the chair that was necessary to keep the bench together, luckily a family member who is crafty figured out a way to substitute the missing part.
I ordered two of these stools and really liked them.So I ordered two more. I was very happy that they matched perfectly which isn't always the case when you aorder separately

These stools are stable and the saddle seat is comfortable. The style is is a nice blend of rustic and contemporary. The finish is a golden oak color and blends equally well with my oak kitchen table and pine chairs. One detail you might want to consider is that the legs are not made of one solid piece of wood: they are finger-joined from shorter pieces. This does not detract from the strength at all, in fact it makes the leg very strong. I put both of the stools together in ten minutes.
I was initially hesitant to buy these because of other reviews that stated concern over the black marks on the stools. I find they are hardly noticeable and appears to just be part of the wood. They look great and are the right height for a counter or breadfast nook. My only complaint is that they wobble a bit and I can't seem to 'right' it.
