Everyone thought that I was crazy for purchasing a mattress online. I have never had any issue with any product I've ordered from Overstock.com that I didn't hesitate. The mattress arrived at the time I was told it would arrive. White glove treatment. It was a rainy day, and the delivery men took great care with my oversized package. Made sure I was happy with it before they packaged up my old mattress and box springs and again, were very thorough about not leaving any packaging behind. My husband and I are loving the quality of the mattress and impressed with the entire experience.Read More
It's hard to express in words how disappointed we are in this product. We are on our 2nd one and have had the exact same issue with both attempts. My wife and I are in good shape, no excessive weight issues. This mattress is great for a couple of weeks. But after a month, a permanent dent begins to appear, and it only gets deeper over time. We now feel like we are sleeping in some futuristic sci-fi bubble because we sink so low into the mattress. We joke about meeting at the ridge in the middle to kiss each other goodnight. We believe this product is poor and should not be offered for sale. A complete waste of money.Read More
I don't like to sink into my mattress, and this set suits me fine. It isn't a pillow top, but is soft on the top. Yet, I can feel the support underneath me, when I lie down. So far, I am very pleased with this mattress/box spring set. I have never purchased a mattress online, but I read and trusted the reviews. Also, compared sets online, and this was my best choice, including price.Read More
I had tried a similar model in a mattress store before ordering. The price was some $200 less than the retail outlet. With free shipping and no sales tax, it seemed a bargain. After sleeping on it less than two weeks, the side I sleep on has sagged. I feel like I'm sleeping on an incline. I am now trying the other side to possibly balance it out. Next stop--the middle. Can you get a good mattress that will hold its shape and firmness without investing several thousand dollars? I'm beginning to wonder.Read More
We love this bed it has firm springs and a soft layer of foam but they delivery service was terrible. If you like a firm mattress I recommend this to anyone. Know what you want go try them out somewhere that's what we did then decided on this bed. Check the specs on the bed don't be fooled by the name cause they got different names at every store. We laid on the same bed at a big bed store and got it on here for almost 200 bucks cheaper. The shipping company they use is terrible though. White glove I know it says old mattress removal don't be fooled they will not hall of the old one. I wasn't home when brought it but my wife said they was lazy rude and pushy. they dragged the mattress though the yard refused to bend the mattress to get it up stairs and around the corner and they rushed her to sign the paperwork before I got home. So we had to get it up stairs by our selfs.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello Jean, this should measure just fine with your bed frame, we do recommend using a box spring for the support of your mattress. Thanks for shopping with us!
Is this mattress adjustible base compatible?
Hello Bud, this can be used with an adjustable frame, however when used with innerspring beds, users will still experience pressure points and less than optimal support. While spring mattresses can be cheaper, another issue, especially with bases that have attached mattresses, is durability as the pillowtop compresses and the springs wear, meaning they will need to replaced more often than high-quality foam. This set come with a base as well, not just the mattress. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you for shopping with us!
The price for the mattress set shows as $999. How much is the mattress alone... or can it be sold alone?
Thank you for your question dgeorgio2. The Beautyrest Recharge 'Maddyn' Luxury Firm King-size Mattress Set is only sold as a set and cannot be sold separately. Have a great day.

Can I purchase a low profile box spring (5.5) with this mattress instead of the standard (9) inch box spring being offered?
Unfortunately moykita, this item is only sold as described. If you want a lower height, you might consider making your bed frame a platform bed using a bunkie board for a solid foundation and just buy a mattress. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but thank you for shopping with us.

How to Pick a Pillow
Even if you have a top-of-the-line mattress and an 800 thread count sheet set, your bed is not likely to be comfortable without the right pillow tucked under your cheek. Nothing ruins a good night's sleep like a bad pillow. Unfortunately, it's easy to underestimate the value of a good pillow. Take a look below to learn how to pick a pillow.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
Best Reasons to Buy Firm Baby Crib Mattresses
When you're shopping for baby crib mattresses, safety should always come first. A soft mattress may make sleeping more comfortable for you, but the same could be hazardous, even deadly, for your infant. You may be tempted towards the soft baby crib mattresses for your child, thinking that he'll be more comfortable. Babies, however, don't need the same joint support as adults, but they do need baby crib mattresses that reduce the risk of harm from their baby furniture while they sleep. There are many reasons to buy a firm baby mattress, and the following tips can help you determine what to look for.
