This is a very nice bed... the wings are a little thinner than I would have thought and the fabric is thinner than a high end bed, but the end product once completed and styled with bedding looks fantastic. The fabric is a linen look... it is a woven with many different shades and it does tend towards a dark beige like the description. It was a bit overwhelming to put together because the instructions are lacking, but it really wasn't that hard in the end. We topped with a 14" mattress and it is very comfortable and the perfect addition for our beach house.Read More

Regarding the included wooden slats - how are they attached to the bedframe; are they bent wood or just flat planks; and are they finished or unfinished - the last bed I ordered came with unfinished slats and they put splinters in the mattress.
