We are renovating 2 bathrooms and need to save money wherever we can, but still do a high end renovation. I was very hesitant to order a vanity online, not being able to see and feel the product made me VERY nervous. I decided to order this vanity for our hall bathroom, and if I was satisfied with the quality, I would order another for the master bath. Well, the vanity is installed and is really really nice. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I did order another Design Element vanity for our master bath (the Galatian). I don't rate this 5 stars for a few reasons which I will elaborate on below, but I can tell you that if I was only rating value, this would get 6 stars! I had shopped around for vanities for this renovation and looked at all of the big box stores, and many high end design centers. The price and value of this vanity cannot be beaten anywhere (though if you search, you may find the same unit a bit cheaper at other sites, but with club O and the 5% rebate overstock is the best!). What I found in terms of overall quality is why this vanity loses a star or two. Don't get me wrong, this is a very well made piece of furniture, and I am TOTALLY happy with my purchase, but if you are expecting a truly high end furniture quality piece, you may be slightly disappointed. By that I mean the drawers aren't dovetailed, and the drawer slides, while very nice stainless steel ball bearing slides, aren't the ultra high end concealed and self closing type. The doors are self closing, but the self closing hinges are mid range hinges. The only real issue I had was that the epoxy that holds the screw clip for the sink into the countertop came out while installing the sink. Not a big deal to epoxy it back, and my contractor says this happens all the time with Chinese made products, again it was a very easy fix, but it is something to realize. Also, I did not use the faucets that came with the vanity mainly because I wanted faucets that matched my shower fixtures, but the faucets looked fine, again, not high end, but the same that you would find at any big box store, I also find it VERY odd that the faucets don't match the finish of the handles on the vanity. With that said, again I have to say that I love this vanity. I looked at the big box stores and they can't even come close on the price. The only comparable vanity I could find at the big boxes that was close to this one was about $$$$$ and DIDN'T include the countertop or sinks!!! The countertop is fantastic, the marble looks custom and beautiful, and the sinks are fine simple porcelain sinks. What I found at the high end design centers was that a custom vanity like this would run me about $$$$$ plus countertop and sinks (and faucets and mirror). They also sell what they call "international" vanities which means vanities imported from China (just like this one). They started around $$$$$, plus countertop and sink which would be about another $$$$$-$$$$$. The fact that this vanity comes with everything and is so nice makes it an outstanding value and I highly recommend it! My contractor could not believe that it came with EVERYTHING including a huge and beautiful matching mirror. As long as you understand what you are buying you will be extremely happy with this purchase.

I purchased the one with white color from Overstock and installed it last year. The faucet and cabinet are pretty good. The stainless steel handles on the drawer and door show quite some rust already. The service of Overstock is very good. We opened the packaging before we were going to install it, and found the sink is wrong. That's about 45 days passed the delivery date. We contacted overstock and they sent the replacement sink very quickly.

The vanity and mirror are very beautiful and look really nice, except for the fact it is clear glass not the blue colors in the photo. Would have looked for others if photos had been true to the colors. Very hard to read/follow the instructions and $80.00 more in hardware needed to hook up correctly.

So it's been 2 weeks since my installaiton of the vanity sink. Its slick, modern look makes it a great addition to my new bathroom . However, if you look at the sink close-up, you will notice some flaws. First. the one shipped to me was not leveled. There's a gap between the cabinet and the sink basin that does not go away even if you try hammering the sink into the cabinet. I had to ask my contactor to squeeze extra white silicone trying to seal the gap to the best they can. There are still holes, but better than before. Second, the cabinet finish is pretty but it makes water stains very visible for some reason; you can see the water drop trails here and there, if yo don't wipe it up soon enough. I also find it very difficult to remove or wipe away smudges or fingerprints on the cabinet finish. I was seriously considered using those stainless steel cleaner to see if I could get the fingerprints removed but worried that the content may just be too harsh for the finish...so I gave up. The faucet is decent and nice. Again, it's chrome, so constant wiping and cleaning is highly recommended to keep water from staining it. The drawers are the best feature of the vanity sink. For the sink cabinet, you have just about half of its size for storage; the other half will be occupied by the pipe. All in all, I am happy with the style, the look of the sink, but I think they can do a little better on the

First things first: this vanity comes with a countertop made of 3/4" thick standard glass with integrated bowl. There is only one 1-1/2" hole for the faucet and no overflow valve in the bowls. The drain holes require the use of their chrome push-button style plug- so you will NOT be able to use the drain, stopper, and fittings that come with the faucet you purchase. The hardware on the vanity is stainless steel, but the stopper for the sink bowls is high-polish chrome- kind of odd. I wish that I could have picked a different finish for at least the stopper. The inside of the vanity comes with two solid shelves, but they are completely impractical to even use, because your sink plumbing is going to go right where the shelf needs to go... so- what to do with the shelves? There are no other shelf bracket holes to install the shelf higher or lower, so if you wanted to use them, you'd have to drill the holes yourself. The back of the vanity is solid wood- not fiberboard, not pressed board- it's solid. Be sure to only have your plumbing roughed in so that you can have nice, pretty holes cut for the vanity- otherwise, you'll be cutting out huge chunks of solid wood- that you'll be able to see, even with the cabinet doors closed (they're glass doors, remember?). The vanity stands up off the floor by about 7 or 8" on chrome feet. You WILL see the floor underneath, and no store bought toe-kick is going to be high enough to hide what's under. Be sure your flooring goes to the wall and is in good condition. You will need to use clear silicone caulking on the glass countertop between the wood framing. The countertop sits on top of the vanity and does not add any width, since it is nested between the side framing. There is about a 1/8" gap on either side that is a water trap, if you don't caulk it. Onto the mirror... the mirror and its frame are the same size as the vanity. For some reason though, they only provide 2 screws to hang it up with! This is a great, big, heavy mirror. It should not be hung without securing to studs. Do yourself a favor and countersink some screws into the studs and plug the holes with wood plugs or filler. The shelf that attaches to the bottom of the mirror sticks out so far that you would have to hang the mirror at least a foot higher than your vanity countertop to be able to use it, because the faucet heads would not be accessible otherwise. We are choosing not to use it, because it would make the mirror too high for our children to see into. The drawers are very small, but they do open all the way. They are only about 12"x12"x4" or so. They are not long enough for me to hold any of the drawer organizers that we have.. maybe I'll find some- bathroom drawers really can't go without at least a liner of some kind that can be wipes clean. The cabinet doors have a soft closing hinge. You'll have to unscrew the hardware a bit to get the protective wrap off of them. Overall? Everyone who has seen it remarks how beautiful it is. It is one of a kind and super pretty. I wish the countertop was a resin material instead of glass, and I wish I had known the stopper was going to be chrome. It looks silly to have a brushed nickel faucet with a chrome stopper, IMO. Overstock was very helpful in answering my questions about the product and I've included all the information we obtained from them and also discovered on our own in hopes that it helps others in determining if this product is right for them.

Vanity is very modern look. Dark espresso is black not a dark brown. The mirror is quite heavy - make sure you buy 100lb hooks -they were not included and attach to wood beams. The vanity is also quite heavy - the glass sink is already attached to the vanity. The faucet was stainless steel not brushed nickel so I had to return some of the accessories I bought. Side drawers are small so I recommend to also purchase a matching medicine cabinet. The price, however you can't beat for a 48"vanity, faucet, sink and mirror. The vanity was shipped beautifully and came within 3 weeks.
