This is my 2nd seagrass rug. I have another exactly like it and if you like the look of a natural product, you will like this rug. There have been times when people made puddles with their boots on it and I thought it was forever ruined only to have it dry and look again like new. It doesn't show stains or dirt and seems indestructable. We live on a sand beach, with kids and a dog, and now with 2 seagrass rugs. The colored edge is a very natural cotton- canvas -look too, and tough.
I received this rug today and it is simply gorgeous! I purchased the natural border and I love the color. It is very well made, and looks like I spent a lot more than I really did. I really like that it has a latex backing so I did not have to purchase a rug pad for it. Pictures do not do this rug justice, you will be pleased!
I bought this rug mainly for the neutral color and deminsions of the rug. I wanted a long rug to put at my front door that is somewhat narrow and this fit the bill. The rug itself is pretty cool looking and has a neat smell to it when it's new. Ultimately you get what you see in the picture, it's nice and of high quality.
Looks great in the kitchen. It's in front of the sink and dishwasher, on a hardwood floor.
I was very pleased with the quality of the runner and the cost, however, i was disappointed with the color. I ordered wine, as I wanted a red trim, but not a 'screaming' red, nor an orange/red...so I thought wine would work. The problem is the wine color isn't intense. It is wine color, but it looks like a washed out wine color. As if it's sun faded. So that was disappointing, but I'll live with it. Now I wish I had gotten the black trim. I've seen that in a friend's home and even after 3 years, the black looks dark and rich in color.
