We purchased the brown rug. This is only the second day and a lot of the smell has gone. Personally the smell doesn't bother me. My husband who's allergic to many things is fine with the rug. He only mentioned how strong it was when he opened it. The rug looks very similar to the ones at higher end stores (I've been looking around and this is the least expensive and after seeing it looks the same). Under our 6 seat dining table and chairs the 8x10 rug fits just right. I love how the brown complements the chairs and table (almost the same color). The rug is rough, it's expected from this kind of material, but it's not horrible. You just have to get use to it. My 2.5 can walk on it bare foot with no complaints. With socks you can't hardly notice the small bumps of the weave. We'd buy another one if we have another room to stick the rug in. Shipping was good through UPS. Quicker than expected. Overstock ships from different location and the rug's location (state) isn't too far from us so it only took a few days.

Perfect. This is a beautiful rug and I have gotten many compliments on it. Looks very expensive.

Our green bordered rug is a terrific value! It looks great in our house near the ocean. It is rough but that's the idea--like sand. The aroma of sand is pleasant and fades more every day.

Recently got the 8x10 seagrass rug in brown and couldn't be happier. Looks way more $$$ than I paid. Pair it with high quality furniture and it looks "designer"!!!

Perfect. One tiny default on the border (a hole that we will have to fix), but this is perfect and I am likely to buy another one as soon as it comes back. Would highly recommend it.

Purchased this rug with a black border--wanted a "new look" for my living room and this did the trick. Placed over hardwood floor and looks terrific----in fact so terrific I purchased an identical one for the dining room. The odor is negligible, this rug goes with both antique and new furniture. I am very pleased!

love this rug! Fits well with my somewhat modern decor and gives it a nice earthly tone. So far so good with 2 year olds, 3 dogs and a cat, although I have caught the cat chewing on stray fibers occasionally; hasn't done any damage though. Seems very durable and well made, can't beat the price. Doesn't show stains or dirt, or fur for that matter. Easy to vacuum, not sure about sticky spills yet.

I love this Rug so much I went and bought 2 more. I have one in my office, living room and foyer all with the black border. The price is great and it looks fantastic.

Definitely met my expectations. Having three dogs, I'm always looking for furnishings etc. that are practical and will stand up to them. I have not found the smell of seagrass at all offensive, and one of our dogs absolutely loves it. In fact he seems to prefer it to his bed!

This rug is an exceptional value. I purchased two runners with natural lining about six months ago, and was very pleased. The grassy smell disappears after a few days. They feel very good to walk on and are extremely durable. Two days ago, I purchased the matching 8x10 rug for under the kitchen table. We could not be happier with the superior quality and craftsmanship (compare it to Ballard Designs price!). Also, Overstock is extremely quick with shipping!!!!

I had been looking around for a few months, comparing prices, checking out the big, trendy popular stores. NOTHING compared to this! I am so pleased. It arrived in less than a week, was in perfect condition, is well-made, and just as described. I got the natural trim and it's just gorgeous. It gets lots of traffic and has stayed relatively clean. A quick sweep of the vacuum (set on a high elevation) does the trick. The smell is sweet and fresh and not all offensive and dissipates over time. Love it, love it, love it!

Just as some of the other reviews mentioned, the seagrass smell was gone within about 4-5 days. It looks great, masks well any stains or crumbs, and the neutral color seems to be well represented in the picture. Really glad we got it. The rough texture underfoot doesn't bother me or my boyfriend. We've considered enhancing the decor with a smaller, likely more luxurious area rug, but more for design-purposes than anything else...

This was an attractive and thrifty choice, but I like my rectangles to be square at the edges. Rug bowed out in the middle and thus, it sits kind of "cattywampus" in my dining room.

I have really enjoyed this rug so far. We left it on our back porch for 2 days until the smell subsided but it looks great in our bedroom. It is a little rough to walk on but you should know that before you buy it with it being "grass". It seems to be well made. Great rug!

I am still impressed with my rug. I have had spills, and pet "accidents" on this rug. Simple stain remover works great. Regular vacuuming is all it needs. I do have a small spot where my dog decided to chew the rug. It is not very noticable. I spray that spot with a little white vinegar every month or so in case she decides to try it again. That seems to be keeping her off of it. Again, great rug, GREAT value. Price them elsewhere, they are twice as much. Everytime I see one in a retail store I check the price just to feel good about my purchase!

I can sum up my review with just 3 words "I LOVE IT".....the customer review was very helpful...I ordered the natural...but the picture shows a very light cream.(I did not want light cream)...I was very concerned until I read the reviews...one customer said it was more like the color of the rug...she was right....thank you....on her comment I purchased the rug...I ordered on a Tuesday afternoon...it was delivered on Thursday the same week...WOW....it looks GREAT in my dinning room...the smell did not bother my family...it smells like fresh seagrass...goes away in a few days...I had been looking at these rugs for several months...they had to be special ordered(I ordered the 8x10)...and would have taken 2 to 3 weeks for delivery to the store and then I would have to pick it up...I ordered it and it was delivered to my house and in my dinning room within 3 days....THANKS OVERSTOCK.COM
