This natural seagrass rug was purchased in early spring of this year for my kitchen. It has held up quite well. Cleaning it is no problem at all. I did not find the "natural" odor of the seagrass to be offensive at all; it is strong upon arrival, but it quickly dissipates within days. I would give this item a high recommendation to those looking for an area rug of this style & type.

As an interior designer and an owner of three dogs, I can't say enough about seagrass. It's indestructable, if you get a stain...just take it outside and hose it off with detergent and a stiff broom, then it let dry in the sun. As for the smell? It's dry grass folks, similar to hay and will soon fade completely away. Suitable for all types of interior styles. You'll love it! And the price in unbeatable.

I got this rug a few weeks ago and just love it. Mine has the black banding and really enhances the beauty of the natural fiber of the rug. It's a little rough under the feet b/c it's a seagrass rug but it's strength is visable and the rug is very well made. I don't have a problem walking on mine.It has a slight aroma of seagrass when you first unroll it but that goes away in a few days. I get compliments from everyone who comes to my home for this rug. I strongly recommend this rug to anyone who appreciates the beauty of texture in a room and not the same old boring flat rug.

I have been mulling over the decison to purchase a new area rug for months. So when I finally saw this rug on Overstock, I decided to go for it. I am glad I did! This was exactly the style of rug I was looking for. The color (natural) is great, it will match my decor perfectly, and is neutral enough to fit in if I change things. This rug looks like I spent a lot more than I really did, and the bonus is it came with the latex backing so I did not need to purchase a rug pad. It is easy to clean and appears to be durable enough to stand up in high traffic areas. I have pets so I needed something that didn't atrract pet hair, and this fits the bill.

This rug looks much better in person than it does in the photo. It's beautiful and very sturdy. Even the border is nicer in person ... I got the creme colored border. It looks great in my livingroom. I paired it with modern dark furniture and it definitely changes the tone of the room - in a good way
