Love the fact that it has the non-slip backing on it so you don't have to use a rug pad.Cost was less than the big high end stores that did not have the backing. Closely woven and the border fabric is nicely done too. I believe this is going to be a very practical and durable rug and the natural materials will never go out of style. Another great buy from overstock.com!

This rug is very well made. It's a little hard on bare feet due to the texture of the basketweave, but since it is in my foyer, that texture is a good thing. I love the way it looks.

Sturdy and great texture. Adds nice touch to entry at my house. I am extremely pleased with it. Has rubber backing, so no slip. Manages dirty shoes; can be swept, vacuumed or shaken clean. Binding is on tight and great color same as in the catalogue and on 'net. Very fast shipping and well packaged. Nearly perfect. May order another for kitchen eating area

I bought a similar rug from very exclusive designer company a year or so ago and it was much more expensive and not as well constructed. The rug is very attractive---though there is a distinct "seagrass" smell that you need to allow to air out if you are using it in a closed or small room! But it is a great buy and very handsome!

I needed a non-slip area rug for a cork floor and this one does the trick nicely. It's heavy duty enough to last a long time. I wish the fabric edging were a bit better quality.

Excellent product is just as pictured and reviewed. I bought the area rug with brown trim. Edges lay flat and seagrass is tightly woven and does not shed on my ceramic tile floor. Does not appear to need any under mat as it stays put in front of the door. Would purchase again.

I had been looking for area rugs for quite a while trying to find a rug that would go with both leather furniture and a floral print chair. When I found these rugs on Overstock I was thrilled. I ordered the large 8 x 11 and the 3'6 x 5'6 rugs for two different areas in my living room. The seagrass texture and the border tie the room together perfectly. The rugs did have a strong grassy odor for about a week so I sprayed them with an allergen reducer. The value was great and I would recommend this product to friends.

I have been so pleased with my rug. I debated over which style to order for days and am so happy with my choice. We have retired to a lake home and needed something that looked great, but that better suited the more casual life we are now living. The Seagrass is perfect - not only good looking but also holds up well to the high traffic area at our front door. Was also pleased with the delivery time, both rugs I ordered were delivered in two days.

I use this rug in the bathroom and it is really nice! My cats like it, too, and I like it 'cuz they cannot ruin it! It feels massaging on bare feet and is durable and well-made. I got a smaller version of this for my kitchen and may even get a bigger one for the living room. The burgundy color is nice and won't show the dirt. Great purchase!

I love this rug.I got the tan color border. It really gives that beachy feel. I think the one end is a little curled after a couple of days, but that's to be expected with it coming rolled up in delivery. I have just requested that my 100+lb labrador lay there when I cook in the kitchen so it will flatten out eventually. He loves it!

We love our new kitchen rug...we chose the burgundy border to blend in with the other colors in our open floor plan. We were looking for something durable and I think we found it in this particular item. The only problem we have with it is, is that we often trip over the still-rolled up end that STILL poofs out---after several weeks of enduring heavy textbooks on the corners in hopes of flattening out the ends!! We haven't spilled anything on it to check for ease of cleaning. We have a similar, larger one w/ black border underneath our breakfast room table and have enjoyed that as well.

I was looking for a rug for the front porch that wasn't too thick/plush. I have 2 dogs and needed something that they would not destroy or leave dog hairs all over. After a few days, the rug laid flat (as it had been rolled and tied for shipment). It has a slight "grassy" scent, which is actually pretty nice. Great for a lot of foot traffic. It would probably not feel very nice on bare feet, but I think it'll do the job this winter when we need a place to put snowy shoes and boots after being outside. When(if) this rugs wears out, I'd definitely buy another one. Great price!

I love this rug! I was so pleased when it arrived so quickly, and loved it immediately. It is very sturdy, and now sits under my kitchen table. I noticed a slight smell which disappeared in a day or two, and was not unpleasant at all. I recommend this rug to anyone looking for a great deal! I had looked in numerous stores for such a rug, but the prices were double what I paid for this one at Overstock, so it is very economically priced. Thank you, Overstock!!

This is a great rug. I bought the green trim to coordinate with colors in my foyer and the color is true. Do not buy this type rug if you have cats however. They consider it their scratching post. I had to partion the room off from mine. Good value for the money.

This is a great area rug at a good price. Like other buyers, I appreciate the fact it has a rubbery underside to prevent slipping. Yes, I get a whiff of "hay" smell occasionally, but that is to be expected with any natural fiber. I assume this is going to dissipate with time. I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

I purchased three of these rugs in various sizes. Compared to other retailers I've looked at, Overstock had the best prices by far. These are just what I expected and I'm very happy with my purchase. I have not had a problem with a strong smell like others have mentioned (and it has been 80-90 degrees lately). I get a whiff of hay smell once in a while, but nothing unpleasant. A couple times in the heat I caught a bit of urine smell and I wondered if it was coming from the rugs ... but I have a baby, too, so who knows? As far as the rough texture -- well, yes, seagrass is a rougher material. I find these pleasant to walk on in my bare feet (like any other seagrass rug), but if you were comparing the texture to cotton or wool, it is indeed rough. However, my 10-month-old crawls on them without any sign of discomfort. I have two larger dogs and so far, these rugs have held up great (no pulls from their claws). It has only been about a month, though, so time will tell. The rubber backing does keep the rugs from sliding on my hardwood floors, which is amazing considering how unruly my dogs are.
