  • This product was not 96 inches long

Quality : Poor Value : Poor Style : Poor

This curtain rod was nearly a foot shorter than stated, the box also stated it was 96 inches long and it was actually closer to 80 inches. I exchanged it and the same issue.

  • Perfect match for my blackout curtains!

I purchased blackout curtains that are 108" long so I was originally concerned that this rod would hold the weight. It comes with a middle bracket and works great. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and appearance of this rod and my new blackout curtains and may buy them for more rooms.

  • Nice Rod

The rod is strong and looks very nice. It came with a support bracket for the middle but the rod was strong enough that we didn't need to put it up. I liked it so much that I purchased two additional rods in different sizes to replace some of my older curtain rods in my home. Excellent buy.

  • Expensive and not that friendly.

Since the rods screw into the wall, you need a screwdriver if you want to take the drapes off. I have no problems with this but I think it was kind of pricey for what I received. But that's what happens when you shop late at night on the internet....

  • Works well

Quality : Average Value : Average Style : Good

Does what it's supposed to. Even with Overstock pricing, it seemed expensive, especially when you realize the finish is painted on - but I couldn't find this style of rod any cheaper and it works great. The curtain curves around and lays flat on the wall. Added bonus that you have some adjustment capability (up to one additional inch) on the depth of the rod from the wall.

  • Form & function over style

An all business, no party curtain rod--strong & functional. If your goal is a curtain rod that will allow you to hang blackout curtains & have a dark room for sleeping or media, this is the rod for you. If you're looking for showy, wrong rod. The 52-96 comes with a supporting bracket for the middle of the rod, which is much appreciated. also like that I have some flexibility in how far it extends from the wall--a cheaper rod with a similar style doesn't allow that. Also, there is a way to remove the rod to get to the curtains without removing the base that attaches to the wall.

  • Curtain Rod

This rod is excellent for light blocking. However, it is somewhat of a nuisance to install in that you cannot put your curtain on unless you have a screw driver to remove the rod from the wall bracket. Then you have this long rod to deal with. You almost need two people to manage this.

  • Well engineered and sturdy

These rods are very sturdy -- infinitely better designed than the average white curtain rods. The rods screw in, and they are easy to remove so you can change curtains. They are very attractive also and handled a heavy pair of curtains like they were made of tissue paper. I definitely would buy these again and would recommend them to anybody who wants an attractive alternative to the normal flat white curtain rod.

These curtain rods are sturdy, attractive and easy to install. What more can you ask for? My son ordered some and when I saw them, I ordered enough to replace my existing ordinary curtain rods. Definitely recommended!

Will this rod support a single curtain for a patio door 75" w without center bracket or can the center bracket be used with single curtain. Thx for your assistance. ahllpn on Sep 21, 2014

Answer This Question

Hello ahllpn, it really depends on the weight of your drapes. The rule of them is a rod 8 feet or more should have a center supporting bracket. Thank you for shopping with us. Rochelle B overstockcustomercare2 on Sep 24, 2014

Yes, the round piece flush mounts to the wall with two screws, and then the curved rod will slip onto that and be held in place with a small screw. poepourri on Aug 7, 2014

Yes there are holes to mount flush. geekmom93 on Aug 28, 2014

What is the total length of this, mounting pieces included? I have a 96" window with exactly 2" on either side to mount to, trying to figure out if I need this one or the 96"-144" one. Answer This Question

Hello lad, the reviews will give you a good indication of how strong this curtain rod is. Unfortuantely, Overstock does not weight test items, so we don't have a weight capacity. The rods have been used for blackout curtains before. We hope this helps, and thank you for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on May 23, 2014

Hi. Can you tell me the dimensions of the internal/side poles (not the main 1" rod)? I need to know the diameter and length of the poles that extend from the main rod in order to know if they will work with my current hardware. Additionally, what is the diameter of the portion of the bracket that the side poles slide over? Thank you. krbwe2 on May 13, 2014

if I understand your question - the 1" rod's curved ends fit tightly around the 2"l (approx) rod/disc you attach to the wall - this is not a 'cantilever' bracket w/wiggle room so it's a very good connection…. think of the 'elbow joint' of a pipe. + the rods have small screws at the top to tighten against this rod/disk bracket. also, the center support necessary for longer installations is easy to attach (in a similar fashion as the end brackets) & makes a very secure support. lafcadiohearn on Jul 9, 2014
