I love this ottoman!
I was looking for more storage, and had been considering buying a storage bench when I saw this ottoman. I bought two of them, to sit in front of two matching chairs that needed ottomans. They are great! As other reviewers have said, they aren't flimsy, and don't require assembly. They are very dark brown (almost black) and are on the small side (OK with me because I live in an apartment). I'm pleased with how much storage space is inside. They are perfect for holding my 4 year old niece's toys--and, the lids won't smash down on her little fingers! They are super functional...you can sit on them, use them as a table when sitting on the floor, plus--they don't slide away when you prop your feet up on them! They arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommended. This is my second positive experience buying furniture from Overstock.com! I will definately purchase more.

Too short
I recently purchased 2 of these cubes. I had been looking for quite a long time for something like these. I am very happy with the appearance and love the color. However, the specs state that they are 16.5 in in height. They actually measure 15.25 (that is at the very middle of the cube). They are quite a bit lower than my couch. It would be fine except that I was planning on using them more as a coffee table than footstool.

High Quality Storage Cube
After searching for YEARS! to find a good-looking storage ottoman, I finally found it on Overstock. These cubes have been around for awhile ... but try to find one with feet that keep it from sliding across the floor when your rest your feet on it. Try to find one that has storage, let alone a cool lid-lift mechanism that keeps the top up while you hunt for treasures inside. Try to find one that is quality-made, tastefully designed, trimmed professionally with tough leather that won't scratch and dull ... and just try to find one with all the qualities I mentioned at this price! Thank you Overstock for solving a problem I've had for years!

It's OK for an ottoman
We bought two of these ottomans (in black not brown) to use with a sofa we bought from Room and Board in black leather. They are ok, square and simple with a modern look. However, compared to our sofa, they look kind of cheap: although they are made of leather, it is not top grain leather and it is treated for resistance with a substance that makes the leather look cheap. Nevertheless, they are lightweight, easy to move, great for storage of small items and good for feet rest while wathching TV.

Timeless style, part of total deep comfort
I bought this ottoman to go with the espresso Manhattan Club Chair and the Studio Arc Floor Lamp, also from Overstock. Together, in the corner of my loft, on a faux shaggy fur rug, these items form a tight, interrelated matrix of form and function. When I sit here and kick up my feet on this ottoman, I enter a world of relaxation so deep that I feel like I'm going back in time. And thanks to this ottoman's handy storage feature, when I am in the past, I can pull things out of it that are from the future and blow the mind of my past self.

Great buy
I bouoght two of these storage cubes to put at the foot of the bed for storage as well as seating. I also pull one up to the chair in the bedroom for an ottoman occasionally. They are very versatile! I am very pleased with my purchase. A great value.

High end ottoman
The ottoman looks very high end and has high quality leather. I have it in the bedroom but it is nice enough to place in a living room.

Functional and Attractive
This storage cube was purchased as a gift for my son. He loves it. It works well with his living room decor. I think the cube could be functional and agreeable in any room.

Sturdy and Attractive
great value. We've only had it a month, but it seems very sturdy. stays put when you put your feet on it. top secures itself in open position when you want to store things inside. just the rght height for an easy chair. Actually we both can put our feet on it at once when we sit in matching fireside easy chairs. very sleek attractive stylish look.
