These bar stools are superb. Great value! I bought 2 sets (4 total) for my high rise condo and they go perfectly with the contemporary design in my condo. I received them quickly, in perfect condition! The leather is soft and of excellent quality. They are very comfortable! So happy with this purchase.

The stools are very modern and heavy so I can see the price for them. The issue was I Ordered 2 stools but it took me a month and having to get 4 stools and a part (just the backrest) to have a complete set. The items aren't packed properly and they came with damage. The stools are very nice but I spent too much time between the order, the emails and telephone calls and tracking to think of ordering again.

I purchased two sets of these stools for my playroom with bar. The stools are very comfortable, and very modern looking which is what caught my attention. I was skeptical after looking at the reviews for the different stool heights. After I assembled my first chair I too experienced this problem but there is a tiny black cap thing that needs to be removed. Once I did this the stool raised to accurate height. I hope this information was helpful to anyone, as I would have had 4 chairs that did not raise fully. These are great !!!

The manufacturers are reading the reviews - there were flags on the cap that needed to come off, directions were clear and easy. I set up 4 barstools in 45 minutes. Easy-peasy. They look great, are comfortable, and delivery was uneventful. I would recommend them. They are in my mid-century kitchen - lots of fun.

Been looking for some nice bar stools to update my kitchen area and recently purchased a set of 4 of these stools. Very pleased with the look and quality of these bar stools. Well made and didn't require any assembly. The cushion is thick and comfortable to sit on. They look very nice in our kitchen. Highly recommend and very happy with this purchase.

My wife and I remodelled our kitchen - everything was replaced from floors to walls. To replace our 15 year old bow back windsor country style kitchen eating bar stools. We wanted a solid chair that will hold up to for daily use, that is cleanable, that were comforatbale, and that were in colors to match our new Craftmaid "Honey Maple" maple cabinets and black granite counter tops. Everything we saw was flimsy, the wrong color, uncomfortable, or designed so cleaning was impossible. Saw these on Overstock and based on a positive review gave them a chance and ordered 5. They arrived in a week. Each boxed in a 2'x2'x3' box. Unpacking took a good 10 minutes per chair with each in bubble wrap and cardboard. I folded up the boxes and rolled the bubble wrap for re-use at Christmas. (The bubble wrap wasn't taped to death). There was ZERO shipping damage. They are shipped in two pieces - the chair top with its turntable attached, and the chair legs already assembled into one piece. Assembly was easy. Four 3/4" hex head bolts with self locking nuts (no washers to fumble with) were included. All the holes lined up fine and I tightend them with two 1/2 inch wrenches from my garage tool set. An adjustable wrench and a 1/2 socket rachet wrench would work too as there's room for the socket on the nut. The legs are 1 1/8" square tube steel - decent guage thickness, nicely bent. The leg tops are welded to a top plate, and the leg bottoms welded to a circular foot rest made of 1/2 inch square tube steel. All the welds are clean, no torch holes, no splash, no grinder marks. The finish is a krinkle coat black with some texture and a "matte" look. This is a krinkle finish that you will recognize from 1950-60's era metal office furniture when they built things to last. It is nicely applied and is durable (nick resistant) and washable. (I tried to nick it and I washed it to be sure.) The leg tips have clear plastic inserts that are tough, and slide on the floor well without grabbing or scratching. I am sure if I ever needed to I could obtain replacements as the square tube stock is a common size. The chair back uprights are the same steel square tube stock, with the tops capped with bevelled edge steel cap, welded on, and again with no torch holes, no weld splash, and no grinder marks. The cross back caning on our model is 1/2 wide flat steel bar stock - solid, and welded to the uprights with more clean welds. Paint is the same black krinkle - evenly applied. The chair backs are nicely angled and curved and don't cut into your back when you sit and lean back into them. The chair seats are a maple hardwood, uniformly cut to size and shaped with nicely curved edges that don't cut your thigh when you sit on them. The wood is stained a "medium maple" which is a near perfect match to our Craftmaid cabinet color. Yea!!! If the color had been off too much the seat base comes off with four screws and I would have refinished them to the color of my choice. There is some variation in staining color due to wood grain, but its what you get with any maple hardwood stain - same as our cabinetry. The turntable allows a full 360* swivel. The swivel is a bit tight, so I used some Tri-Flow lube to loosen them up a bit. The turntables are ball bearing design between flat steel plates and are like the ones on my old stools that lasted 15 years and still work. I have seen similar ones for sale at Home Depot or Lowe's so I am sure I could get a replacement if one ever failed. (I have notivced some other makers use custom bent plates and can't be easily matched). All in all I think these were THE BEST DEAL IN MY WHOLE KITCHEN REMODEL.

We are very pleased with this set of stools. We purchased them about a month ago and find them to be a perfect fit for our game room. We shopped for weeks and ended up going with these after many trips to local stores and looking online at various places. I definitely would recommend this set to anyone who likes the way look online, you won't be dissappointed.

Quality as good as I have seen in the finest furniture stores and a price uncomparable. Very satisfied with this purchase. No cons what so ever but the packaging was so exraordinary that it took me longer to unwrap than it did to assemble.

First of all, I couldn't believe the price for these 4 stools. I've never found 4 for such a price. Second of all, the quality was amazing. They are heavy, pretty wood with fantastic workmanship. We absolutely love our stools and they make a beautiful addition to our home. I would strongly recommend them!

We have been looking for 2 years for bar stools. The ones we found in local department stores were very cheaply made, so we held off buying until we found the Cherry Swivel stools at Overstock. I had my doubts, but when they came in and were so easy to put together, and are so comfortable and beautiful, I was indeed a very happy shopper. Thank you Overstock for selling items that I have seen in very expensive furniture stores for half the price. I am a very happy consumer.

The stools are GREAT - just exactly what I was looking for. We recently moved into a home with cherry cabinets and weren't able to find anything close to this quality, with a cherry finish. These stools are very sturdy - large seats, wide base and strong rung for feet.

Love, love, love these bar stools! I recently purchased and assembled 4 sets for my bunk house. At first my husband scoffed me because he thinks "overstocks.com" sells damaged or flawed items, but when he saw them all assembled and sat in them he was very impressed! These chairs are really classy looking. Once you put one together, figure out to use your own Elmer's glue and run out and get a hex bit for your drill instead of using the provided Allen wrench, they are cinchy to assemble. Personally, I am okay with "bicast leather" because I have a bunch of kids and their friends using the stools and bicast leather is much easier to keep clean and in my opinion stays nicer than leather because it doesn't crease and patina and stain. I loved these chairs so much I ended up purchasing 10 of the table chairs too! PS-for the naysayers that say some are wobbly, these chairs come with those screw adjuster things on the bottoms of the legs to level them out! Duh! Also, I did get sent one chair leg that was missing some of the pre-drilled holes, but all I had to do was email overstock.com and the company sent me 4 new legs within 5 days! I didn't even have to wait on the phone or anything. A simple email took care of it! In my opinion, that is great customer service!!

We are very pleased with our stool purchase. Only wish it he stool had a 360 degree turn instead of 180. Otherwise, great! Delivery was prompt.

The only thing I was disappointed with was that I ordered 4 bar stools and one set had already been opened and was not packaged properly. Screws and nuts and bolts were in a ziplock baggie. Also some of the parts were a little scratched and bent. I did not know Overstock sent you opened items. I did keep them because I have teenagers and knew they would get scratched anyway.

Comparing this stool with others of similar shape and design, the matted frames & seat, as well as the flat base were the reasons I bought the stools. Even though it is more expensive, it looks absolutely stunning. The base is heavy, and is wrapped under a patterned metal sheet giving that matted look at the base too. Overall I love it, I saw these stools originally in a very classy bar in Hong Kong two years ago and have been looking for the same design ever since; this could possibly be the exact same product. I bought two sets - 4 stools. The allen key provided is too small to deliver the leverage required to fully tighten the screws, it was fine as I have longer keys. However I do have a turn-off about the workmanship - This happened on both sets, one chair is perfect and effortless to assemble, but the screw holes are misaligned on the other. Because of the flat base design, for a truly sturdy stool you'd need ALL three screws to be VERY tightly fitted. Unfortunately the distances between screw holes on the stem/trunk were drilled at a smaller radius compare to the holes drilled at the base. This misalignment took me literally hours, short of drilling bigger holes, trying and trying to get all 3 screws through the base to the trunk by brute force. Even then it wasn't perfect and the two chairs are slightly wobblier compare to the other two. Having said that, after all the hard work, the extra wobbliness are only noticeable by me and no-one else now. So I am happy with the results.

Over all these stools look great but it was very stressful seeing how wobbly they were after putting them together. I kept thinking I am going to have to take them apart and somehow fit the pieces back into the box to return. One of the three stools we were able to assemble without the wobbling; the other two wobbled. We tried taking the wobbly stools apart and swapping out the legs. When we reassembled them with the swapped out legs they still wobbled. The stool's legs; parts A & B, and part D, a square bracket, with the swivel part welded-on, are designed to overlap and hold together with 4 screws. However as one screws-in and tightens part-D to A & B it creates an shift in A & B's alignment, creating an imbalance in the stool's legs. There needs to be better quality control on this product. Parts A, B & D should be pre-assembled prior to packaging, to be sure the parts align, then taken apart and package together or labeled 1A-1B-1D, etc. before packing for retail. Also the seat do not have pre-drilled holes, a drill is needed. We were able to remedy the problem by taking the rubber covers/caps off the extra leg-lengths, (we didn't need the extra height,) and cut the sides off, leaving the round rubber bottoms intact; we use these rubber bottoms to stuff inside the rubber caps on the stool's legs where it was uneven. By stacking the rubber bottoms inside the leg's caps we were able to get the stools to come very close to being even.

Love these bar stools - bought 2 sets (4) assembly was a breeze - Only wished they would have came with floor protectors.
