I have been looking for bar stools for a while and not finding anything in the stores. I purchased the walnut stained ones. They went well with my woodwork. These stools are very well made and sturdy. However, my daughter and I were not able to put them together. We had to enlist the help of a male friend with a drill. This was the only drawback to these stools, thus the one star rating for ease of assembly.

Very nice looking, they work well and the materials are appropriate for the intended function. One stool was not able to be assembled because the male threads on the upright tube weren't cut well. There was absolutely no way it could have been screwed together the way it showed up from the factory. Fortunately, I have a pipe thread cutter and was able to re-thread the pipe and then it screwed together just fine. Most people would not be able to do this and would have had to return / exchange it. The other bar stool that I ordered did not have this issue and went together just fine right out of the box. All in all, I love them and they work perfectly.

I purchased four of these bar stools because of the description and reviews. They were received quickly, in about 4-5 days. My husband and son had a few real male bonding moments assembling the first one, but after that the remaining 3 were considerably easier. The one question I had that was not addressed in the reviews was whether or not they had rubber feet so as not to scratch or mar my mexican tile floors. The answer is yes, they are equipped with rubber feet. The height of the stools is slightly higher than our old ones which works out good with the height our kitchen bar. The stools are quite heavy and appear to cost more than the price we paid. They display quality workmanship and we have had nothing but compliments on them.

After 2-and-a-half years of very light use, two of my four bar stools are falling apart. The back of one of these bar stools is breaking away from the seat. In fact, I was sitting on the bar stool when it audibly broke apart. I wasn't leaning back with great pressure and I'm a normal sized adult male. On the second bar stool, the wood back is simply separating from itself. The separation isn't even on a stress point; it looks like the wood wasn't cured or glued properly. Yes, the bar stools were attractive and fairly inexpensive, but if someone had told me I'd be replacing them in two years, I would have spent my money elsewhere. I'm really disappointed in the overall durability. Do yourself a favor; avoid these bar stools.

The bar stools are very nice looking, very sleek and modern, easy to assemble. The stools feel very heavy and the metal is a nice brushed stainless finish which is great. Here are the pros and cons of this product in my opinion; - Aesthetics are top notch (expensive look, full leather, nice metal work etc) - Very easy to assemble - Good variations of height - Cant find better looks for the price Now; - The seat height at highest point is around 30/31 inches, but the damper effect (hydraulic cylinder) drops that by at least 2 inches. - The seats are very heavy and set on a square base, which is good if you are just sitting on them without considering tucking yourself under a bar or table for example, then repositioning this stool with your self is a very difficult task to say the least. - Feels unsturdy when at the maximum height if you are on the heavy side. I weight around 190 pounds and I was scared to bow the single stem of the stool do to the stool being at full extension and being a little wobbly. If you intend to use these at lower bar heights it maybe ok, but the moving of these is so difficult it is hard to expect anyone to do it, and I am a young fit male, my fiance couldnt even attempt it, she needed to put the stool in place, swivel the seat and twist herself into the right position. If returned all of the stools I bought - I need 4 legs after experiencing this set up of stool. The only problem is, finding a stool that looks like this stool with 4 legs in stainless steel and leather will cost me around double or triple per seat.

I searched high and low for bar height stools that would not only compliment the room, but would also hold and support a large adult. Originally I wanted pedestal stools, but you have to pay the big bucks if you want them to hold an average adult male and not wobble. When I decided that four legs were needed, I searched for a solid week on the internet comparing prices and reading reviews. These chairs met all my needs and more. They were the perfect hieght, color was spot on and they can hold 230lbs w/out a problem. One of the best things, is that they are already assembled!! No fussing w/screws and tools. This was my first purchase through Overstock and it was seemless. Not one problem. I will definitely start w/Overstock for future purchases.

They were very easy to setup and they are nice and solid. We got them for our kids so they could eat at the breakfast bar, but after they are in bed we and our friends (including a male body builder) use them with no issues. They get a lot of compliments and are nice to look at. We do clean the base a lot - a problem with any shiny metal objects on the floor, but overall we could not be more pleased.

Believe it or not, a plastic chair can be comfortable! The only downside is that it was difficult to put together. The holes don't really align and it took some male strength (I'm a female) to push the pieces together in order to be able to screw them together. Fix this little defect and they'd be perfect.

Chair looks okay, but is poorly made. Some bolts were cracked right from the package and the hydraulic does not lower unless a much heavier, adult male sits on it. Since I purchased this for teen study seating, it is less than ideal. Smelled toxic when opened. We let it offgas awhile. Seat top more creamy looking than anticipated. Definitely lower quality than other stools I have purchased via Overstock. Assembly was acceptably easy, but the mini wrench included im box was effectively useless. We raided our own tool box for tightening up the wheels.

Seats on the barstool are small. Average male would want a larger seat. Packaging is not good. Barstools are just placed in the box with nothing but plastic wrapped around them. Most of the boxes I received were cut open by the stool itself. I am assuming this happened during the shipment. I ordered 8 and one stool had a broken piece. Rubber on bottom of stool (floor side) was not completely glued on all the stools. I am keeping the barstools since they will not get much use and the appearance is nice. The adjustable feature works nice too.

We got these chairs a couple weeks ago. They are exactually as described on the computer. I love the color! We use our stools on a daily basis. There are 3 of us. 130 pound female, 160 pound male teenager, 250 pound husband. They work and look awesome! My only complaint would be the set-up. It took me and my husband 1.5 hours to put these together. The tool that they send with would have taken us 5 hours to put together. We have a drill with the bit that worked well. My husband is very much a handi-man, but someone who is not, it would take a long time to put together.
