The Liddell Wood Bar Stool gives my ebony wood bar the perfect natural complement. The wood grain is simply gorgeous and the light veneer finish is high quality. This pieces looks good and feels good too. The curvature of the simple bentwood design is not only graceful but affords a high level of comfort that sustains for hours at my bar. All in all, a great buy. Thank you Overstock!

Please note that the wood legs on these stools are black. They are true black. The seat is a very dark brown, an ebony brown. One would get the impression from the description that the legs were brown.

They only issue we've had is keeping the little screw plugs inserted. We just need to get the woodglue to make them stay. Other than that they are well made and haven't gotten the least bit 'loose' with wear. The color has stayed (doesn't chip off). Ours are the ebony.

These barstools are a steal. They were well packaged and arrived undamaged. I agree with prior reviewers that there's really no assembly needed. You just unwrap and stick the stool on the base - no screws, no nothing. The pneumatic lift works great - a good range from regular dining chair height to full bar height. The stainless steel looks impeccable. The walnut veneer is stunning. I note that the veneer is matte, not shiny, and is slightly lighter than the photo, but it coordinates beautifully with my ebony floor. There is a slight difference in tone in the walnut veneer between the two stools that I bought, but there's natural variation in any wood and I love that they're unique.

These stools are well-made and sturdy. The leather is excellent quality, and they arrived quickly and were packaged perfectly. I was very pleased with them, but disappointed that the legs ARE NOT a true black, as reported by several other customers. They are definitely a deep mahogany color; nice, but not as contemporary looking as an ebony leg would've been. Overall, a good purchase. I looked at many stools to use at our wide, black marble kitchen island and saw many vinyl or "bicast" leather chairs selling for the same price. These are definitely very high quality.
