The photo album is handcrafted by artisans in the village of Ban Twai in northern Thailand. The outside cover and inside pages are constructed entirely of Banana Bark, while the front boasts Elephants which have been molded from resin. The book boasts 36 pages, and holds 36 4-inch x 6-inch photos. Photos are secured in place with woven-clasps in each of the four corners on each page; between each photo-page is a protective sheet to protect the photos.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas last year. She is 19 years old. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and detail of this photo album's cover. My daughter was absolutely thrilled when she opened her gift. It is one of her treasured items in her african and elephant decor bedroom. The album did smell weird for quite awhile, but has eventually lost the odor. The pages do not have anything to hold the pictures on, so you need to have a photo-friendly adhesive. I recommend it for anyone that loves elephants!

Like the texture and feel of the pages. It helped to enhance the detail pieces of page layouts. The peculiar smell of the product was not pleasant to me, but dissipates when left open in the fresh air for a bit. Fun to workwith. Like the look. Wish it were larger (12x12)

I have priced these out at home and on vacation. I didn't feel like carrying one or two home on my last vacation so was happy I could get this on Overstock.. This is a nice size and looks great on a cocktail table at the same time. Great gift idea too.
