This cookbook holder works great, holds my largest cookbook with no problems

This product was completely below my expectations. Its much flimsier than advertised, and the adjustment rod does not work at all, rendering the entire stand useless because it can't stand up on its own without the rod. In addition my packaged arrived damaged; one of the hinges was screwed in crooked and part of the hinge was broken. I sent it back immediately and would not recommend this product to anyone.
