I bought this tea maker because it came with a glass pitcher and was classier looking then the plastic. I was a tad disappointed that the pitcher had white writing and fill marks - wish they had used something a little less noticeable. Makes great tea tho - you can choose strong, med, or light. I tried using the sugar holder to make the sweet tea, but it just ran through the sugar and didn't dissolve over half of it into the tea, had to scrape it out to add to tea after brewing. That to me is not a big deal because its easier to add the sugar after the tea is made (less to clean up!) Overall it is nicer then the plastic ones and the tea turns out great!

This is my first tea maker, I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this particular one. It is terrific, I especially love the fact it shuts off automatically when it's brewing is complete. There really is nothing bad to say about it, it just great!

I bought this iced tea maker as a replacement for my old Mr. Coffee iced tea maker. This is by far a better product. It is fast and the pitcher actually fits inside my refrigerator. Would recommend to a friend.

The Back to Basics Tea Maker is an excellent choice for making iced tea. Here in the South iced tea reigns as the drink of choice for lunch and dinner meals. After searching and reading the reviews of home iced tea makers, I'm happy with the decision to purchase this item. It looks nice on the counter and I love the glass pitcher, which I'm proud to serve tea directly from. I don't use the markings on the pitcher, but after running water through two tea bags twice, I add the sugar to taste and finish filling with water. The ice goes in our glasses and then I pour tea over the ice, the taste is perfect for us. I store left over tea in the refrigerator with a piece of plastic wrap over the top of the pitcher to prevent any odors from altering the taste. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase. If I could change anything about the tea maker it would be a lid for the glass pitcher.

This is a very nice unit, and suits our needs very well. It makes good iced tea, which is a good thing because that's why we bought it. I absolutely love the glass pitcher. However, it does not come with a lid, so creative use of plastic wrap is required. Focus Electrics/West Bend--who actually make the device--do have a plastic replacement pitcher and lid for about $15 including shipping, which I have ordered but not received yet. So, if you are all about lids there is an option. Also, in order to make iced tea, you need a LOT of ice. If you do not have an automatic ice maker, this might be a problem. I'd actually give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. (1/2 star off for the lack of lid.) Overall, great purchase, swift shipping, a good deal.

This is a wonderful Iced Tea Maker. The pitcher is glass but be aware there is no lid for it. Much better quality than the plastic ones.

I had one of these and it went out, so I ordered another to replace it. I like my tea to look like tea and not colored water so I run water through the same tea bags twice, then finish off the pitcher with water. Makes a great tea. I add sugar to pitcher after tea is made. My replacement came in with a broken pitcher but I already had a pitcher from my first one of these. Overstock gave me a decent discount to keep the pot and I was happy. Bottom line is the packaging could have been much better and packaging should have been marked as fragile.

This is a nice, compact pitcher for the refrigerator. The tight fitting lid keeps tea tasting fresh.

This is an excellent product. I've owned a Mr Coffee tea maker in the past, but tea always tasted funny. With this tea maker the pitcher doesn't last very long. Everyone enjoys it. I've already given one as a gift. Tea has very good flavor when brewed, just like at the restaurants. Even if you place pitcher i fridge its great tastinmg the next day without any sediment in bottom of pitcher

This automatic tea maker is the best. It is fast, simple and makes great tea. You can not go wrong with this purchase.

I bought this after my Mr.Coffee teamaker leaked all over my countertop for the second time. I love this one. The glass pitcher is easy to clean and looks much nicer that the usual plastic one, very sleek. I would definitely buy this again or as a gift for someone.
