Fork worked great for the first week. Then it just stopped . Keep trying sometimes it works sometimes not. Very frustrating to have a new product not work all the time. Would not recommend buying.
I got this for my husband for father's day and he loves it. Has used it almost every day. No more overcooked meat, which he was bad about. Set to different meats and level of doneness you want. Stick in to test and it will beep if it's done. No pulling out the reading glasses-a big plus for him. Will get others for gifts. It's great.
This item is very handy, especially for those of us (like me) who find it difficult to read thermometers. It seems durable and is very simple to use. I really like that it uses a standard battery (which is included). The two best features are the ease of reading the temperature (with a beep when the correct doneness is reached) and the length of the fork. I use mine in the kitchen, and it is nice not to have to put my face too close to the hot oven after I open the door.
My mother liked mine so much that I got one for her as a gift. Good item, good design, good price. I am very pleased.
