We decided to mount our flat panel TV on the wall over the fireplace. We were looking for a piece of furniture we could put our DVD, TiVO, WII, surround system and DVDs in. We needed a glass door(so the remotes would work) and we wanted a drawer. This piece fit the bill to a tee. The assembly was more difficult then we expected. My husband is pretty good at assembling things, but it probably took him almost two hours. The guy who did it in 40 minutes must be pretty good. My husband probably could have done it in a little over an hour, but he got the top on backwards and he had to take it apart to correct this mistake. It's an easy mistake to make because the top appears it could go either way. In fact, we almost left it that way, but we decided we wanted it to be exactly right. It was great that each part had a sticker of a letter that corresponded to the part which was identified in a chart in the instruction guide. It's too bad they didn't think to label the parts with these letters in the assembly diagrams. That would have made it much easier. Assembly aside, this is a very nice piece of furniture and we are quite happy with it.

I got this to match the entertainment center I ordered previously. It's a nice matching set, but they have the same issues. The front lower trim piece is about 3/16" too short, so there are slight gaps along the sides near the legs. It came with only one hole in the back so I used a hole-saw to create 6 additional openings to improve air circulation and cord routing. My WII and AV gear still run a little hot, so I may drill more. If you put this on hardwood or tile, make sure you add some felt padding (not included) to the bottom of the legs as they can scuff your floor. This one only took me about 40 minutes to put together, and I was able to use the leftover parts from the previous unit (not that I needed to). Axium is very generous with the hardware. The glass door is reversible. Despite the flaws, I would definitely buy this again, it's a great piece for the price.

Easy assembly, very solid - I'd expect it to last forever. As with other reviews, it's a very very dark brown - very appropriate sitting beside the large black bezel of a TV

We are very pleased with the product. I assembled the piece in about an hour and a half, with minimal hand tools and a screw gun. The piece was packaged well, and in perfect condition. It was delivered quickly and exactly as stated. This is an absolutely well built piece of furniture. I have assembled several pieces before this that are constructed mainly of veneered particle board. This piece appeared to be constructed of mainly solid wood. The piece deserved a full 5 star rating with the exception of 2 shortcomings. First, the glass door is very difficult to adjust so that the clearance on all sides is uniform, and level with the bottom drawer front. Secondly, there aren't provisions for cooling of the equipment in cabinet. This didn't seem to be a problem with the majority of my equipment, with the exception of the PS3. In order to use it, you must leave the door open or cut hole(s) in the rear of the cabinet.

This is a nice piece of furniture--a good value. Doesn't look cheap. This came in several pieces but the instructions were easy-to-follow. Not difficult to assemble; it just took more time than expected which is why I rated this 3-stars. If you're not a DIY person, this may not be for you. There is only one opening in the back for the wires. I had to make another hole to accommodate all the electronic wires. (I bought an inexpensive hole saw attachment for my drill)

Looks great, and was pretty easy to assemble compared to other furniture I've assembled in the past.Only real complaint was that it wasn't deep enough, most components will not fit into it, and allow the door to shut properly.I had to make some modifications to the dust cover panel in the back and cut slots to allow the cables and even a whole component to hang out the back, so that they would clear the door in the front. It wasn't too difficult, and it actually made installing the equipment easier.The width of the cabinet is excellent though. Overall, it looks great though, and you can't even notice the mods I had to do.

This was an awesome piece to hold our media equipment, board games. The drawere is great for getting this out of sight. As a new mom, I use it to hold extra diapers and wipes for quick reach in our great room. I would reccommend this product highly!

I spent months looking for an audio cabinet that would fit within a window and fireplace. This was perfect and the right color (expresso). I read many reviews before ordering and wanted to know if I could assemble it with the door opening the other way. After chatting with Overstock they told me it could only open from the left to right. Well, I want everyone to know that it can be assembled to open in either direction. That was a plus for me. It is sturdy and I am a woman and it took me about 2 hours to put together after I organized everything. The only trouble I had was the final step of putting the front door on. There were no instructions on how the hinges adjusted so I had difficulty figuring that part out. I knew the hinges could be adjusted several ways and once I figured it out, everything fit perfectly. It is a great piece and is solid wood. The only negative is that I thought they should have provided a 4 MM hex wrench. Who has one of those hanging around? Overall, I love the cabinet.

We'd been looking for a component cabinet similar to this for our home theater. Shipment came in two really well packed boxes, each individual piece is wrapped and surrounded in styrofoam.All the fasteners and pieces are clearly labeled and easy to refer to from the instructions. Yes, there are about 12 different types of screws, lock nuts, dowels, etc... But don't let the number of screws and such intimidate you. The only hitch I ran into was which holes to use on the drawer slides. They pre-drilled holes for the cabinet slides, but there are 3 different sets of of holes you could use on the slide itself (I used the holes that place the drawer slides as far front as they could go). Another thing I ran into was a TON of extra dowels and screws, hopefully they erred intentionally to make sure we had enough or maybe its a standard set for all their furniture, but every pre-drilled hole has been used so I feel pretty good about it. Overall a nice piece of furniture which I recommend, just make sure you make sure the heat with the door closed isn't frying your electronics. I modded the back panel to allow cords and heat to pass through freely.

Nice to get a piece with no particle board at this price. It got delivered so quickly, that the previous owners were still in my new house (they kindly accepted delivery). It's heavy. Not too difficult to put together. It took me about 1 1/2 hours, but I'm pretty handy, which sped things up. I also am into overkill, so I used wood glue as well, which slowed things down. The trickiest part was getting the door adjusted properly so the gap was uniform around the edges.I've gotten many compliments on it. In fact, the only reason I'm remembering to add a review, is because I had to dig up the link for my friend who wants one.

Arrival and shipping was great. Assembly was not complicated. Great look, yet door sticks and unable to conceal all cords behind back panel.

As others have reported, this is more attractive than it appears online, and it is made of real wood, not pressed board. Also as reported, some additional drilling may help - I stubbornly avoided this, but many of the screws required considerable effort and time. The drawer doesn't work as smoothly as I'd like, but, overall, this was a good purchase.

This audio cabinet is exactly what I have been looking for. I've been looking for about 8 months for a cabinet that was contempory, sleek, and not very tall. This product was everything I was looking for. The wood is solid, the price is great, and it looks amazing! I love it. I'm so glad I waited and found this cabinet on Overstock, instead of just buying something of a lot less quality. I would definately reccommed this item. It took a couple of hours of putting it together, and somehow we built the shelving first and went to put in the bottom drawer and then realized we should have bulit the drawer first. We had to take some of it apart and fix our mistake, but the finished product is worth it. It's a very dark brown wood, it almost looks black. The drawer pull out smoothly, and the hinge closes nicely on the top. Looks as good as it functions!

Its a nice sturdy cabinet but the assembly took 4 hours. I have assembled many furniture items and none were as difficult as this cabinet. The reward is that it looks great and functions nicely.

I am enjoying my media cabinet. It is high quality wood and looks great in our family room. All of our media equipment fits perfectly. I no longer have to look at bulky wires because the cabinet has a back with a hole for the wires. If is of excellent quality. I would recommend this cabinet to anyone. It was not difficult to put together.
