The only workmanship flaw was that the drawer wasn't center in the final assembly. Perhaps this is easily adjusted, but I haven't attempt to adjust it. The glass is removable which makes it easy to replace it with smoked glass if you are like me and don't care to look directly at your electronics. The finish is dark with burgundy tones. There are holes already cut for threading power cables and wires. The drawer bottom is rough and could use some contact paper to improve its look. I'm happy with the product and it met the expectations for the value. (But, it didn't exceed my value expectations. I did use a 20$ coupon which brought it to a more appropriate price.)

I got this to match the entertainment center I ordered previously. It's a nice matching set, but they have the same issues. The front lower trim piece is about 3/16" too short, so there are slight gaps along the sides near the legs. It came with only one hole in the back so I used a hole-saw to create 6 additional openings to improve air circulation and cord routing. My WII and AV gear still run a little hot, so I may drill more. If you put this on hardwood or tile, make sure you add some felt padding (not included) to the bottom of the legs as they can scuff your floor. This one only took me about 40 minutes to put together, and I was able to use the leftover parts from the previous unit (not that I needed to). Axium is very generous with the hardware. The glass door is reversible. Despite the flaws, I would definitely buy this again, it's a great piece for the price.

I bought two of these cabinets and they have made a huge improvement to our room. They have a beautiful dark brown finish that matches my other espresso-colored furniture. The assembly had many steps, but the instructions were very helpful and easy to understand. Great pieces for the price.

Item is beautiful and priced very well compared to similar styles elsewhere. Looks great in our living space and holds all of our media boxes with ease with room for decorations.. Bottom drawer is spacious and is a great place for extra video game controllers, etc. Made well and very sturdy.

I bought this piece as a temporary media cabinet. The price was reasonable; when I shopped around they were around $$$. It's got a lot of room & a drawer to keep controllers, etc. in. My main complaint is that the backing only has 1 hole to put cords through. I have our Direct TV, PS3, Wii, & (in 3 days a reciever for our surround sound) in it. The PS3 gets hot very fast & makes a loud noise (fan) so I have to keep the door open when we run the PS3. Since this is only a temporary piece until we custom build our cabinet in the nook area, I can deal with it. But, for those that have small kids it may be an issue to leave the door open so your electonical equipment doesn't overheat. Another solution would be to not install the back wall (which is cardboard). Overall, it looks really nice & we've recieved a lot of compliments on it.

This cabinet was just what we were looking for in the price range we were looking to be in. I wanted something quality to house our receiver, cable and dvd for our home theater but didn't want to spend a lot of money. We also wanted something that didn't look too modern and techy, rather something that was a little more decorative. Usually for this price you can only find the fake wood techy looking stands. But this was a great price for a solid wood decorative audio stand. Excellent!

I am a young woman and put this together on my own, so assembly was clearly pretty simple. The wood is a very nice quality, but very dark. I have dark espresso colored wood in my living room and this looks black next to everything else. However, it's not so bad that I can't live with it. I'm using it without the door so that my equipment doesn't get too hot. The only issue with this is that the shelves are held in place in the front by the door, so without the door they can easily be pulled forward and fall. I fixed this by putting clear nubs in front of each shelf on the sides to prevent them from sliding forward. Lastly, the unit is very deep so make sure to be aware of your space! I measured and have enough space in the area I originally placed this, but didn't realize how awkward it would look due to the depth. I ended up having to move it to the corner so that it didn't stick out like a sore thumb in the middle of the room. Bottom line, I would love this piece if it were about half the price. At it's current price it is good, not great.

We love this and it looks great in our living. We have gotten several compliments and it's great to keep items closed up from the baby! You will probably need to cut another hole in the back for wires or ventilation but that's no big deal.

It is a good value for the money. Looks nice. Wobbles a little bit. The wood had a couple of dings in it but overall looked good. Nice look for a decent price.

The cabinet looks and feels better than the price would imply. My only complaint is with the designed dimensions. I would have liked to have seen a deeper cabinet. My HTPC required that I cut out some of the backing so that the cables would clear. Its a minor qualm but with so many HTPC's being used these days, a typical length of a PC might be reasonable to consider. Also, its baffling why the manufacturer didn't include a small rubber piece to keep the door from slamming directly into the cabinet when the door closes. Its cheap enough to go to the hardware store to obtain, but should have been included. The door closes pretty loudly unless you softly close the door by hand. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with the unit.

My complaint about this product is that it was very difficult to put together. The instructions were not clear, in large part because the illustrations they relied on were terrible. After a great deal of looking at the parts and instructions in every way and from every angle possible, I am confident I put the item together correctly; nonetheless, the bottom drawer does not fit properly.

Nice little unit, solid woodlike item. not enough ventilation however for serious audio equipment. attractive. good quality.

The first cabinet came damaged by the shipper. Did not notice until I opened the box though. I called Overstock and they sent me another one and had UPS pick up the first one (they did not wait to receive the first one). The cabinet was labeled well for assembly and took an hour or so. Seemed to fit nice and tight. This is deeper than most of the cabinets i saw online and fit my surround sound receiver, dvd player, cd player, cable box, and internet router with no problem. There are holes for cords in the back, however, you WILL need to put other holes in it for ventilation if you are truly using it as a media cabinet. There is just too much heat generated. I ended up frosting the glass with a spray can from lowes so that the equipment was not so visible.

Put this cabinet together last night and am very happy with it. All of the components are clearly labeled, as are all of the hardware bags (screws, dowels, etc...). Assembly is not fast, but the instructions are good so it's fairly easy to get it all together. The instructions didn't say so...but I glued all of the dowel pins. Probably not necessary, but it can't hurt. Except for the drawer box, the cabinet is real wood (not particle board). It looks very rich and has a very nice finish (note that the finish is basically "black"). The door can be installed with the hinge on either side, so it can swing open which ever way accomodates your room. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the depth of the shelf space. I knew this going in, but I will have to cut out some space in the back panel to accomodate my receiver and components. When you add up the space of the receiver box, volume knob, and banana plugs (if you use them), some of it will extend past the end of the cabinet. Although cutting out some space probably won't be a bad thing, because as some reviewers have noted, there is only one hole in the back panel which would not provide adequate air flow to keep things cool. If the parts that are "sticking out" look funny, I may tack some black cloth over the back of it just to cover things up. For the materials, appearance, quality, and price, this is an excellent buy.

This audio cabinet is wonderful. My husband has a lot of equipment and we've been searching for a cabinet for a long time and this one is perfect. It holds all he needs and will keep our 8 month old out of it! It's a very nice piece, qaulity wood and looks very nice.

This is a beautiful media cabinet that is well made, and easy to put together. It is a bit large in a "bulky" way so you need just the right area for it or its going to look out of place. The color is slightly darker in person than what is shown in person, but it looks awesome next to my dark brown leather couch. The cabinet is sturdy and looks way more expensive than what it really is - great buy in my opinion. The only thing is that we needed to cut the backboard of the cabinet so the media boxes ( i.e directv box, receiver, playstation, and xbox360 ) could "breathe" and nothing would overheat in the cabinet. The only downside to this cabinet is there is no ventilation for these media boxes on the shelves and the back unit - with the exception of the small hole on the bottom back panel to run the cords through. This is why we made our own but just cutting a opening down the back panel to allow the air to circulate better. Overall, I would highly suggest this product. Its easy to put together with 2 ppl. and the added drawer at the bottom is a nice touch to put the remote, games, dvds, etc. The shipping was great as well, product arrived on time in 2 boxes ( very heavy ), and no damage.

This audio cabinet was the only one I could find that fit nicely in my small condo. The only complaint I have is that it was difficult to put together. My dad has put together many pieces of furniture and this was very difficult for even him to figure out. He ended up having to take it to work with him, where a friend helped him complete it.

Great cabinet! A bit of a bear to put together, but did it in a couple of hours without too many curse words! Looks great in my living room!
