This fireplace looks nice, beautiful wood finish. It's a little smaller than I envisioned in that space. (my fault) But, it seems to heat nicely and the flames look great too. Only wish it had a remote. I had looked at SO many different fireplaces, I started to forget that important point! Otherwise, its a nice addition to the room as far as looks and warmth.
This fireplace looks great, in a small room. I am very very pleased with the appearance. If your looking to heat a room it is not strong enough. It serves my purpose, for looks! When I was assembling this, 1 cam lock was broke, but I did finish putting it together and could still use it. I called Overstock.com and recieved 8 new cam locks a few days later.
This fireplace does add a nice look and increases the cosmetic appeal of a room. However, as far as functionality it is a disappointment. It really only warms a very small area, like immediately around the unit itself with the high setting on. So if you are looking for something to assist with keeping the winter gas bills down this is definately not it. If it's purely cosmetic then it is an ok purchase.

This is a nice little fireplace. Pretty wood. It is small but puts out a good amount of heat. There was a piece missing from the package--the piece that holds the heater box in the mantel. It does not affect the operation of the unit but would make moving it around tricky as the box is loose in the mantle. I am hopeful Overstock will replace the missing rod. We are using this in our beach house and it makes for nice ambience and also takes the chill off the family room on cold mornings.
