Love it, looks very nice in the kitchen. My husband doesn't like to have to stand in front of it for it to open, there is a button to push open/close if you prefer. Only problem is getting the trash bag out with out riping because it is pretty tight.

I LOVE that I do not have to touch anything when putting trash in the trash can. That alone was worth every penny I spent. There are only a couple of cons I would comment on, the size and the sensitivity. The trash can seemed small for a 13 gal, smaller than the 13 gal I replaced. Although I've adjusted to this and it does not seem to be an issue any more.The sensitvity of the lid would open as someone walked by. I've angled it somewhat so the motion detector on the lid is not in a direct path of walking traffic and that seemed to help. Again it is not a huge issue but one worth mentioning. Overall, I would reccomend it to everyone.

The trashcan is great, at least for the first month that I've now had it. I love the appearance - it's very sleek (as sleek as a trashcan can be). I've had zero problems that others have encountered with putting the bag in, folding it over so it doesn't show, and removing the bag so that it doesn't tear. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person so I was worried about that but there have been no issues at all so I'm really pleased with the purchase. There is sometimes a slight delay - it seems you have to wait for the sensor light before waving your hand, but that's no big deal to me. If you're in a hurry, just push the manual open button. Should have bought one of these years ago - I just don't think about trashcans much.

The only thing I don't really like is that it has a folded edge around the inside. When I pull the trash bag out, something always gets stuck at this lip. I would have liked one that was smooth all the way through so that the bags would slide out with ease.

I have only had this item for about 2 weeks. It came promptly and packaged for easy removal. Assembly a breeze. I'm really loving it and hope it continues to function. My only suggestion to future buyers is to not tamp down the garbage too much so it won't be a struggle to remove the bag. That said, I highly recommend it.

I love the Automatic touchless lid. Wish I would of ordered a bigger one. Size is too small for the large family I have.

Do not throw away your money - pun intended - on this piece of garbage. At first, it was the source of much laughter in my house as it would not open when I waved my hand over it. Yet, every time I walked by, the lid would magically open. My kids had no such problem - one wave of the hand and "poof," it opened. Hence, more laughter. Warning: The lid becomes quite heavy with 4 D batteries in it. It could actually slip from your hands and crash to the floor as you attempt to remove the garbage bag inside. I speak from experience. Now it just makes a pathetic noise as if it's trying really, really hard to open, but never will again. May it rest in peace...

My touchless trash can arrived and it has unpainted marks on the lid and the bottom ring is coming off already. I am going to have to repaint the lid and glue the bottom ring on before I can use it in my kitchen.

Nice decoration for the kitchen, but be ready to wrestle it when it's time to pull the bag out! Even with my wife holding the can and me attempting to pull the bag out, I normally end up tearing the bag apart, then getting another bag and dumping the contents into it before removing the torn bag. Can has been exiled to the laundry room, as it can handle dryer lint and still get the bag out!

We love this touchless trash can. It is still working well after 6 months of heavy usage. We will only buy sensor trash can from now on. It just makes sense no to touch the lid or the trash can. The step-ons are hard to balance especially when your hands are full. Every household should have one of this trash can sooner or later.

This is a great device that everyone should have in their kitchen! It's like having an extra pair of hands. The sensor works every time. Just put my hands near, and lid would open, and once I am done throwing away my trash, lid would close. How convenient is that! It also looks great! I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I was skeptical of an automatic trash can at first. Not anymore! It works great; It's beautiful and not expensive. The sensor works well and not overly sensitive. I'm going to buy another one for the kitchen at my office. The price is very reasonable if you shop around.

The item works and looks good the only problem I have with it is the spring steel ring does not hold the bag in place.You have to hang the bag over the outside and then put the cover on to hold in place or the bag will fall down inside of the can.The can no longer looks so stylish with the bag hanging out now it is a two star

We received this trash can as a gift and although I LOVE the touchless feature, we are looking for something else. EVERY SINGLE TIME we try to take the bag out of the can, it gets all ripped up and it's not even full! The lid has already stopped working a few times and is very noisy. My sister and brother-in-law have a different touchless trash can and it is MUCH quieter than this one. I would not recommend this to anyone and as soon as I find something different I'm going to get rid of it.

This is my 3rd attempt at a useful 'touchless' garbage can and I finally found the perfect one! Very easy to use, stylish, big enough for a family of 4 and is quieter than other brands.

This is a very practical and nice trash can. It has been working very well for 1 1/2 year. It is nice looking with touch free sensor lid. This is a great addition to our kitchen. After handling meat/chicken and having sticky fingers, I am not spreading bacteria, as I just wave my hand, the lid opens and then 5 seconds later closes automatically. It is easy to use, change out bags, controls odors! The price is great for such a nice stainless steel trash can.

This trash can is smart looking and the automatic opening lid operates exactly as advertised. I would recommend this receptical for most any typical residential kitchen application. The standard tall kitchen 13 gallon capacity trash bags fit in this can exactly. The plastic retainer ring that holds the trash bag in place is a great feature that hides the trash bag inside the trash can. I am hoping we will get several years usage from this trash can.

I received it on 7/31/08 and was impressed with how well the manufacturer had packed it for shipping. It was evident they take pride in their product. As another reviewer noted, this touch-free trash can is great in preventing germ contamination. It looks sharp, works as promised, and now it's less expensive than when I purchased it here few months ago.

This is a great trash can. I have had mine since January 08 and the batteries are still going strong. I can lean over while sitting at the table and throw trash away without having to get up and press a pedal. This is so good I got one for my sister as a gift and she loves it too.
