Wanted a smaller rack for in the kitchen for the odds and ends. Have had this over 2 years and still looks great. Was originally concerned about the baskets wearing out, but they are fine with no issues. Item is well constructed and looks nice.
Well....I was really disappointed in this Baker's Rack. For the most part the assembly is easy but the paint job on this was really bad. There is gold trim on some of the metal parts but the painting is very sloppy. In addition, some of the metal parts were bent. Aside from that it's a relatively small baker's rack and not really up to par in my opinion. The box was disposed of, otherwise I would have sent it back.
the corner of the box was torn and shredded from poor handling. the back frame was bent diagonally. I re-bent it with bodyweight to align the four legs to touch the floor. turned out very nice and sitting in a recessed section of wall in our breakfast nook. took me about 2 hours to construct and about 2 days to chase down the Styrofoam packing material on my floors from the torn box.
I love this. It is sturdy and doesn't look cheap. I store kitchen towels, pot holders, etc. in the baskets, and I use the shelves for some appliances and cookbooks, coffee... It is definitely the functional, yet stylish piece I was hoping to find for my apartment kitchen.
