This product went together very easily. The finish of the wood is not as smooth as I wanted, so I sanded the pieces before I assembled the chairs. If you have the time and are handy with sand paper, you would be very happy with the results after a few minutes of sanding the pieces before you assemble them. I put a good coat of Cabot Teak deck stain on the pieces. The color of the wood really popped, and the chairs look beautiful. You may want to consider glueing your pieces before assembly. Just a small amount of glue on the dowels will be enough. Wipe any excess immediately with a damp rag.

I've had these chairs and the matching table since Nov 2009 and already one of the chair seats cracked and broke, the wood is cracking on both table and chairs. They will not last another year. I liked them but wouldn't recommend them because of the short lifespan. I am going to contact Customer Service to see what the warranty is on the them to see if I can get the broken one repaired or replaced. Definitely put a good coat of sealer on them. I've oiled them several times but they are not meant to be outdoors in the weather.

The Atlantic chairs are beautiful. We use them with the Atlantic table. We glued the joints, sanded, and coated with teak oil.

Bought another chair to go with the bench and 2 chairs I bought previously from Overstock.com. They look great and their are reasonably solid and a good weight (not too heavy/not too light).

After much researching of patio furniture, I purchased two chairs to go with the matching table and bench. The bench seems ok, but the chairs have different variations in the reddish stain that aren't too bad except for one part on the front of the arm rest that is almost bare without red stain, which I think looks awful and you can clearly see where it's been glued together. I also note that there seems to be some places in the legs where the wood has been glued together and not a single piece--not the various components of the chair, but the actual leg itself. There were also several areas that needed to be sanded because splinters were sticking out, particularly in the back of the chair that makes up the decorative lattice work. After some light sanding of these spots, I applied teak oil all over, although I understand that the red stain will wear off and the natural color for this wood is more of a greyish tone. At least that's what I read about shorea, this is made from eucalyptus. I agree with other reviewers that this is a good price for patio furniture, but it isn't the highest quality and doesn't look as nice as I expected. On a positive note, it was easy to put together with two people.

I had been looking for a long time to replace my backyard furniture when I stumbled upon these chairs. The price could not be beat so I gave it a try. So far, I am very happy with them. They came very quickly and they were very easy to put together, although my hand hurt a bit from turning the alan wrench for six chairs. They have some minor imperfections in the wood which is fine with me but some may find unacceptable. They are very comfortable although I bought some seat cushions to pretty them up. I bought a matching table from overstock also and they go together perfectly. I would recommend this for someone who wants a nice wood set without spending thousands of dollars on a teak set. If you are not too picky on minor details you will be very happy.

I ordered 2 of these even though my husband was a little iffy about ordering offline. Very easy to assemble and I find them comfortable to sit in even without a cushion. The only thing that I found odd was that the seat just rests in the frame, though once you sit down you dont notice at all. Just found it weird at first. I also like the material these are made of. Very nice looking.

Brought 2 of these chairs for my mother. They went together easily, appear to be well constructed. Finish was okay, she will be using them on the front porch. They would look great out doors. Good value for the price.

These chairs went together quickly and are very sturdy ! Look great and should last a long time ! Was so impressed w/chairs I just ordered the matching bench.

I'm pleased with the appearance, design, and ease of assembly. I hope the wood proves durable.I WAS baffled at first - and then amused - that all six came with only instructions for assembling a table! Fortunately, the few screws needed per chair were included in each hardware packet and assembly was easy to figure out.

We purchased the chairs and matching bench after looking around for quite a while. We loved the type of wood and the price - also the bench was one of the largest and best value. We did, however, need to reinforce the seats with brackets as the glue at the seams seperated. did not purchase the protection plan because it was costly - maybe a mistake. So far they are holding up great and look great in our yard.

We found this chair easy to assemble, attractive, sturdy. It matches the bench we also purchased.

The craftsmanship is truly wonderful. The chairs are beautifully made and fit together perfectly and quickly. I so wish Overstock had mentioned they were oiled. I wanted to paint them, but oiled wood does not take paint very well------so I'm a bit disappointed, but they are beautiful oiled----just not my preference---- I really don't know about their durability since I just recieved them.

I searched for several weeks prior to purchasing these chairs & found that these were at a great price! The color & design are exactly as depicted in the picture. Although they come disassembled, they were easy & fast to put together using the 6 bolts provided.
