Nice Table
I wanted to give this table a five rating but I just couldn't do it. The table itself is very nice and, as the first reviewer stated, much more beautiful in person. It was darker than I saw in the picture, which is great because it matches most of my furniture. The table itself is pretty solid, and so is the chairs. My issues with the set is one corner of the table was damaged and i was disappointed by that. It is at the very end and about a quarter-sized damage. I decided to keep the table because I am in need of one for some visiting guests and I could overlook that problem. One of the chairs came with a bent bolt so I have to run to the home improvement store to purchase one. I was still able to put the chair together but its a hassle. And the per-assembly is not the greatest. All in all, everything came together pretty well. The table is very beautiful. I am a bit upset that the price went down almost $100 since I purchased it. Oh well. Good luck!

Scratches too Easily
My main problem with this table is how easily it scratches. If you have a plate or a UPS box and put it on the table without protection it will SCRATCH. This wood is so soft and is its downfall. I'm happy with the table for the most part besides this part. I've had the table for about a 2 months and I feel it will not hold up over time with the amount of scratches and dents that have occurred on it in this short of time.

Great Customer Service but problem table
Beautiful table but had to have it sent back due to the way the legs attach to the table. Hired a furniture maker to look at the table to see if the legs could be secured differently to make it more stable. Were told "no" because of the design. Expert said that all tables have to be made this way now for shipping. The Asian wood is a little too soft for this to work well over time without problems. Overstock was GREAT. Worked with us to return the table and got all our money back.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The wood is soft enough that the "sleeves" for the bolts pull out which weakens the attachment for the legs on the table.

LOVE IT!
This table is even better in person! It is just beautiful. VERY well made, VERY sturdy!!! We love it. I have a toddler who beats on it as well and it still looks great!!!

good price, lacks quality but looks nice
Table and chairs look great in our eat in kitchen. Good size with leaf in, comfortable for six. Set arrived with several damaged items and Overstock was better than fantastic at resolving those issues quickly with no cost replacements. Overall I think we got what we paid for as the quality of table is in question. Many parts not fully stained and MDF seats already flaking. Our 3 young children are putting this set to the test and seem to be winning. Knowing what I now know, I would have saved more for a set that will stand the test of time. I'm hopeful this one just holds up for a few years. Ps - assembly was easy but time consuming. Lots of parts.
