These are beautiful, dark wood candle holders. I love the design -- it is very unique. Unfortunately, when I ordered them I was hoping they would fit tapered (long) candles. (Overstock: a description of what kind of candles would fit would be nice!!!). However, the diameter of the candle base is much too wide for tapers. The base actually fits candles that are the size of a tea light (a very standard size and easy to find). I will probably end up getting some candles that are a few inches tall to fit in these.
