Wrong Color
We were disappointed with this table for two reasons: (1) the color is very red, not brown and (2) there is no coating on the wood, and it would be scratched and dinged after the first meal (we have two teenagers and were going to use this as a kitchen table). However, it seems to be fairly well made for the price, and when I called Overstock to return, they were very helpful. We haven't returned it yet or received the refund, but Overstock assures me we wil be refunded in full. This is the fourth item we've ordered from Overstock, and the first time we've been disappointed, so my problem is only with this specific table, not Overstock.

Quite impressed
The color was fairly close, slight cherry undertones. I was impressed. I could tell it was real wood because the pleasant smell of the stain. It was easy to put together too! It does ding/scratch more easily than I would have hoped, vyt I do have two young children so that's to be expected. That being said, it wipes up real easily with no stripping of the finish. The price was right too!

So nice
We purchased this table for our dining room and love how it fits in. Assembly took a bit of time, but the product is well worth it! Love the color, and that it comes with matching chairs!

Beautiful table
This was my first time ordering such a large item thru Overstock. I was extremely impressed at the quality and the beauty of the wood especially at that price! As someone previously commented, the table does not have a thick varnish (the wood appears to be only stained) so it might scratch if you're not careful or have small children. The assembly took a while and I had to run to the hardware store to purchase ad additional bottle of glue (I probably used too much at first). One chair was missing a wood "plug" and the other was broken and I was unable to remove it. I contacted Overstock and they are shipping me a new piece without the hassle I was expecting! A few friends have seen the set and love it as much as I do! I have recommended it to others already! Oh, I forgot to add, if you don't have a quality power screwdriver/drill get one! It will make assembling so much quicker and easier for you! I could not imagine doing it all by hand... I hope this was helpful to you!
