Ashland Full-size Black Nickel Plated Post Metal Bed

This bed beautiful! When my husband died, I decided to downsize my bed from a king to a full. I looked at many beds before purchasing this one, and I absolutely love it. My king-sized bed, purchased over 30 years ago, is also gunmetal, and was very expensive (thousands), made of solid brass coated with gunmetal. This bed is steel and it is lighter, which is OK because I can move it, which I couldn't do with my other bed. The quality is excellent, made very much like my expensive bed, with the screws placed so that when the bed is set up they are not visible. Bed was well-packed and arrived in two boxes. It took very lttle time to set up; the headboard and footboard come assembled, and you just have to attach the posts, finials and frame; very simple! It took a girlfriend and me about 10-15 minutes, with the included tools. It's very sturdy, with three center legs to support the matress and box spring. Color is listed on the site as 'black nickel'; it is gunmetal, which is a shiny grey/blue/black. I think the bed is versatile enough to fit into most decor as the style, reminiscent of old metal beds, is quite simple. Mine is in a bedroom with antiques, but I could see this bed with many different styles of furniture. It really makes a statement, and I have received many compliments. It is fabulous as a full sized bed, it must be amazing as a king! Although it is substantial and sturdy, it has a light feeling as the rails and posts are not too big or overpowering. My only complaint is that right after I bought it, the price dropped about $$, which could have been used to purchase sheets.
