The file drawer will not fit. They say to just push it in, but that is clearly impossible. The rest came together without a probably (except for a few screws that were too short to afix the knobs). So, there is no bottom drawer until I buy new hinges.

How accurate was the on site description of the product? left out important info
This desk will take a bit of time to put together (over 2 hours for us), but it's so worth it. First of all, it's real wood, so it is heavy and solid. The size is great for a small piece and the drawers hold a substantial amount of stuff. The bottom file drawer is sticky at first, but that smooths out with a couple of openings. All in all, this is such a great size for a kitchen desk and the ability to shrink it down is invaluable.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? A little darker than a natural oak

Although the product is awesome, it is much darker than the pictures. i hired a cabinet maker to put it together, and yes the bottom drawer is difficult. I added the last piece, and don't enjoy the allen wrench. i don't understand why a regular headed bolt can't be used. Love the desk.
I could never have put this together without my willing husband, who diligently assembled, tightened bolts, then started all over because a touch made the whole desk collapse. He patiently finished the desk because I wanted him to do so. Hoping the lower file drawer will hold up under weight of files. Desk looks good though!
I was so excited to find a desk that doesn't look like a desk. This product took a lot of time to put together and was actually done by my father in law who is handy. He had to make some adjustments during the process only to find out that the bottom file drawer does not fit properly as other reviewers have stated. At first we though it was the slides and I called the manufacturer who sent a replacement. However, even after we installed the new slides and tried to adjust the fitting the drawer does not fit. The wood rubs against the slides and is getting scratched up. I contacted Overstock about returning the item. Customer service said I would need to dissemble the product. Really? After hours of putting it together why would I want to spend more time on this? So now they are sending me a new file drawer. I'm not convinced this will work and will update this review. Overall I am highly disappointed in the quality of the product. Hopefully the manufacturer will figure out how to correct the problem.
The description says 4 drawers, but the photo shows what looks to be hanging file folders with the bottom 2 drawers pulled out. Will this accommodate hanging file folders and if so will it accommodate algal size or just letter size?ridingrealtor on Mar 1, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question ridingrealtor. The bottom two drawers are file drawers that can be used for legal and letter. Have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 4, 2014

The description indicates that the extension will work on either side, but in the Q&A section, it is indicated that it will only go on the left. Please advise as to which is correct.
