First of all, this lamp is a lot bigger than you might expect. Which is fine. Here's what's not fine. The tripod is painted black. Mine arrived with quite a few scratches already in place. And when I went to slide the brackets into alignment to set it up, the paint scraped off completely wherever the brackets touched it. But I was willing to accept that. The main problem is that the head piece is very heavy. And there are two screwed in toggles, one on either side, that you are supposed to be able to use to reposition the head at the desired angle. These would not hold the head piece in place, So the lamp head always tilts up completely, and what's the point of that? The styrofoam packaging was mostly pulverized, and the little crumbs of styrofoam got everywhere. They have so much static electricity, it's a huge pain to get them off the lamp and off your furniture and floor. The worst part is how much work you put into setting the thing up just to find out it isn't acceptable. And now I have to take it apart and ship it back. Huge waste of time.
