This "rug" is actually a series of loosely-woven ribbon-like strips of fabric and leather. The weave is loose enough so that you can see through it and the ends of some of the ribbons are actually sticking out from the surface. The "gray" in the rug is really a shiny - and I mean mirror-like shiny- silver leather, giving it sort of a disco-era feel. I tried to like it, thinking it was really interesting and maybe even trendy, but the quality was poor. The weave is so loose that the binding on the ends pulls the edges to tightly and they curl inward so the rug does not lie flat. Im sorry to say that I am returning it.
