linthicum from Linthicum, Maryland, Rating:5.0I am a big fan of Robert Merten's work. I love the sunflower fireworks because it is so bright and cheerful. It added so much color to my wall which was originally kind of dark. The sunflower looks like it is glowing with light. The other flowers have nice, bright color. It is gorgeous!

theguerins from Louisiana, Rating:5.0This set was absolutely as described, color was right on and makes a beautiful showing. A templet to hang them would have been helpful, however after we made one it was very easy to hang. Love it!

flamingjune1967 from Georgia, USA, Rating:4.0I must say that upon opening the package I was rather disappointed with this picture. I had read from other reviewers that it was highly textured... but I had no idea that would include globs of paint and a muddy/dirt texture over parts of the canvas. For instance, on the second panel with the vertical lines on the bottom half there is a big glob of paint on one of the lines (about the size of 2 peas). I guess this is to make it more "hand painted", but that particular glob of paint bothers me. There are others, but not as noticeable. There are a few quality control issues, like some of the wrapped corners not being painted completely, but nothing terrible. Also, I was prepared for the gold color (and for those in doubt the flowers really are orange. If you get up close and analyze it may be more red and yellow, but the overall effect is definitely orange.), but I was not prepared for the dirt-like texture on the areas around the flower. The other thing that really bothered me ...

artma19 from New York,New York, Rating:2.0Although I kept the "paintings,". I use that term very loosely. They are like mimeographs of a painting, if you remember those. No attempt to add texture to make them look like there was real paint involved. However, the colors and the size worked in my dining area, so I kept them.

2012mom from woodinville, wa, Rating:5.0This wonderful picture is the essence of fall.....the many rich colors and crisp blue sky bring the beauty of fall into our home year round..and when it is really hot out it brings the temperature down a few degrees (in our heads anyway). I have this hanging above our headboard in our bedroom and because our walls are light blue/green the colors of the picture really brighten up our room. It is like going to sleep in the woods...fall is my favorite time of year

I am thinking of redecorating our home with reproductions of art considered exceptional by famous historical artists. I'm thinking along the lines of Vincent Van Gogh's 'The Starry Night'. -- http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Vincent-Van-Gogh-The-Starry-Night-Canvas-Art/4709131/product.html -- Would anyone care to suggest paintings that would provide exposure to great art that would also be child friendly? I am afraid that my knowledge of art history is minimal to the point of ...
Some of my faves are Renoir, Monet, Mary Cassat,Botticelli, Raphael, Some Gustav Klimt would be kid friendly, (some wouldn't), John William Waterhouse is also one of my faves, just to name a few. There are also a lot of modern day artist on etsy.Art should speak to you that's what matters not the name on the painting. I could no more pick a painting for you than any other thing. I would suggest to buy a book on art or go to a museum. Museums are a reasonably cheap outing and is very enjoyabl...
Well, I am actually an artist myself, and I actually just purchased this piece here on the big O that I love: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Joel-Ganucheau-Underground-Wrapped-Canvas-Art/3007677/product.html As the other reviewer said - buy what speaks to you, and this one does speak to me. I just love the sense of mystery in it.. (i.e. - you can't see the girl's face or head, that part is off the canvas).. I also love that purchasing this piece SUPPORTS A LIVING ARTIST!! He ...
