The paint started chipping as I took it out of the box and chipped even more as I put it together. Solid bed, but pretty high if you have a box spring and mattress.Read More
The only disappointment is the paint. Care was not taken and there are several places where it is peeling. Most of the peeling is around the inside edges of the panels, however, there is one really bad place inside the headboard panel that is bubbled. We had the bed partly put together then noticed this. We hated to take it apart so we decided to keep it. The other problem is in the design of the slot in which you have to insert the lag bolts. This slot is not slanted towards the bolts so there is barely enough room to turn the bolts with the hex head allen wrench. We got the bed together (takes two) but this poor design made it a long job. It looks good and feels solid (other than the paint on the headboard that is bubbled).Read More
Very disappointed. All the of having to pack up the product twice and haul in an out for delivery man. Poor paint quality.Read More
This bed is really cute. I am a 20 year old college student and bought it for my apartment. If you are a little girl like I am, it is really hard to put together by yourself. The directions aren't really clear, but they are followable. Overall the bed feels pretty sturdy. I would suggest getting a drill with an extended hexagon drill bit because the thing that comes with it to screw the bolts and nails in is really hard to use! The paint was chipped in a few places when I took it out the box, but it was mostly in the back of the headboard and the underside of the bed.Read More
Questions & Answers
Thank you for your question. This has a frame and will need a box spring. I hope this helps you. Have a nice day.
It has two slats that have two legs each on them. It is self supporting. You do however need a box spring under the mattress
This is not a platform bed. I requires a box spring. The bed is complete only needs mattress and box spring.
A while back this was also offered in a black/espresso color finish, which has obviously sold out. Any idea if you will be getting more of the dark-coloured beds in? Thank you.
Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, this bed in black/espresso is not available on our site. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions.
