Aristo 5-drawer Lingerie Chest

I actually bought this piece to use as a media cabinet (DVR player on the bottom level and DVD player on the top level) since our flat screen sits on our fireplace mantel. It's very well-made. Even though it took one person to put it together, you'll still need an extra pair of hands to attach two pieces together (the wood pegs were tough to pound in). It was more than what I wanted to spend on a piece like this, but I couldn't find anything with the dimensions I needed and this happened to work perfectly.

I have to begin with delivery. I was very happy it only took 2 days to arrive and in excellent shape. Packaged very nicely. In the beginning I was overwhelmed by the amount of pieces to be assembled, and had a little difficulty at first figuring out how to mount the sliders. Luckily didn't need the tools listed in the instructions, just needed a phillips head screw driver and a hammer. Assembly was very time consuming, I think from unpacking to cleanup I must have spent 4 hours. Must say though, this is one beautiful/solid piece of furniture. Looks as though I purchased it from a high-end furniture store. Very nice.

Let me begin by saying, I absolutely LOVE this piece. I'm glad I got it. I bought the dresser drawer, two nightstands and this lingerie chest... My ONLY regret is that I did not know that the inside of the drawers would rub off and discolor my white garments. The good thing is that the stain (like a deep lime green color) washes off in the laundry. No bleaching and extra stain-removing needed. So, I got some clear contact paper and lined the bottom of the drawers. Worked like a charm.. until, I learned that the SIDES of the drawers were also rubbing off on the whites... AMAZING..!! I haven't had the energy to go in and cover the sides, right now, I'm just keeping the white clothes in the middle of the drawer. Strangely enough, the sides DO NOT rub off on the other colors, even light colors like pink or yellow... Go Figure...So, overall, love the piece, love the entire line of Aristo furniture, just know what you're getting into and factor in lining the drawers when you assemble. Unless and until Aristo does something about the bleeding...Hope this helps....

Like some of the other reviewers have said, it will stain your clothes. I wish I had seen those reviews before I purchased 3 of the dressers. They are a gorgeous set and look very nice but I can't even get the stains out of some of my clothes. I tried to line the drawers but unless you do the sides as well, your clothes will still get stained. I have had these for almost a year and am so disappointed. I only recently noticed the stains when I went to get some of the clothes at the bottom of the drawers out, I am waiting to see how Overstock will help resolve this issue.

Assembly worth the savings! Assembly was easy using my cordless drill, just took about two hours to put together by myself, not bad for a woman. I highly recommend the drill over a screwdriver, otherwise it would take much longer. Just be aware that you do have to assemble the entire dresser, including the drawers.
