This is a solid piece of furniture. It's a deep, dark chocolate brown as expected. Many other reviewers mentioned that the rails that attach to the drawers didn't have pre-drilled holes and cracked when the screws were tightened. They were right. I ordered two of these side tables, the first one was not pre-drilled and every screw cracked the wood. The second side table actually had pre-drilled holes, but the holes either didn't align right or were not big enough, still had cracks with the pre-drilled holes. Regardless, this is a solid piece of furniture and looks very nice. Took me 2 hours to put together the first one and only 1 hour (with use of a power tool) for the second assembly. The instructions were very easy to follow and all the screws and parts were very well numbered and identified. I would have rated this product a 5 if the cracks didn't occur in the drawers.

Let me begin by saying, I absolutely LOVE this piece. I'm glad I got it. My ONLY regret is that I did not know that the inside of the drawers would rub off and discolor my white garments. The good thing is that the stain (like a deep lime green color) washes off in the laundry. No bleaching and extra stain-removing needed. So, I got some clear contact paper and lined the bottom of the drawers. Worked like a charm.. until, I learned that the SIDES of the drawers were also rubbing off on the whites... AMAZING..!! I haven't had the energy to go in and cover the sides, right now, I'm just keeping the white clothes in the middle of the drawer. Strangely enough, the sides DO NOT rub off on the other colors, even light colors like pink or yellow... Go Figure...So, overall, love the piece, love the entire line of Aristo furniture, just know what you're getting into and factor in lining the drawers when you assemble. Unless and until Aristo does something about the bleeding.. Hope this helps....

We bought the dresser that goes with this set, and my husband put both of the pieces together. They both came immediately upon ordering, and all the pieces were there and with no damaged pieces. It wasn't difficult to put together, and it looked beautiful when complete. This is not a cheap piece of furniture like so many others you buy these days. We highly recommend it. Very solid.

I am giving this piece 4 stars instead of 5 because the color is slightly lighter than the other Aristo piece we have (dresser). We are using this as an end table along with the dresser as our TV stand (TV stand holds all of our movies, Wii equipment, XBOX games and equipment!!!). This Aristo line overall is very solid and heavy. It did not take us long to put this together. However, we are very experienced with putting furniture together! I do the drawers and my husband does the frame - we finish at the same time. I do think this nightstand/end table is priced quite high compared to the other pieces in the Aristo line. The reason I broke down and purchased it was because I didn't want to try and match wood colors with the TV stand. I was disappointed that the color of this does not match the TV stand exactly. You can really only tell when the sun is shining in the room. But, I could have found a different piece that was much less expensive that also matched just as close. One of the other reasons I purchased this to use as an end table instead of the Aristo side table was because of the dimensions. This is slightly smaller than the Aristo side table. It just works better in the room. Overall, the Aristo line is very solid - purchase with confidence!

I purchased 2 nightstands, a dresser and the queen size bed. All items were a great buy! None of the items were damaged and all shipped as promised. I would highly recommend this set. Very nice. Color is a nice medium/dark brown color. Goes together well!

I'm pleased with this nightstand i bought for my son. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put it together so plan on that. You do kind of need two people to do it as well. Much better quality than the swedish stuff. Directions were easy to follow and everything was very clearly marked. Looks great in his room!

I was pricing night stand for a new bedroom suite and couldn't justify $$$ for cheaply made furniture store night stands. I found this item on O and read the reviews and I am so happy I did. I got 2 solid night stands that look great at a reasonable price. My father in law assembled everything and said it was the first time he every saw a product shipped with multiple extra parts.

The packaging was exellent and the items in the box were all in perfect condition and labeled well. We were soemwhat off-put in the reviews by the cautions on how difficult it was to put together but ordered it anyway becasue ti looked as though it would be the perfect fit for the money (we bought 2). They were easy to put together if you read the instrux and were careful and took your time. The directions were clear and the finsihed product is sturdy and totally what we hoped for. I seem to use the word perfect in this review a lot -- because these tables are just that! Great job, o.co -- thanks!

Very good-looking night stand! I bought it to test out the color and sturdiness of this line of furniture from Overstock. I love it! I will be purchasing the rest of the Aristo line for my bedroom (as soon as money permits). No weak particle boards, here! Solid, heavy wood, and easy to put together!

Looks great, feels solid. Finish hasn't cured yet. Bedroom reeked of paint solvents, so I took unit outside for time in the sun on two unseasonably warm days. That's helping, but whatever room the nightstands are in still noticeably smells of varnish. In another month, this will probably be forgotten. (This is the factory finish, not anything I have added.) If you can assemble Swedish flat-pack furniture, you can assemble this. The difference is that this is solid wood, not fiberboard.

The challenge for this piece is putting it together, it'll take at least 50 minutes to do so, and comes in a small box Always be aware of where the front is on the dresser and how the rails correspond to the front. The bottom rail, that attaches to the sides (inside), put the wheel towards the front, and the 'bend in the metal' towards the floor. If you do this you will be able to assemble it without mistakes. The rail that attaches to the drawer sides the wheel goes towards the back. I built all the drawers first to get these pieces out of my way. This makes putting the rest together a bit easier. I love this piece of furniture as it is the perfect size and height for my bed side tables (I purchased two). I also love the details, the extra shelf, and the hardware. Adding the side tables did complete my design (bought the dresser too), but found only one problem that a screw didn't fit properly into one of the drawer pulls and there were no extra pulls or screws. Other than that everything else was delivered in perfect condition.

I purchased 2 of the nightstands and am very happy with the choice. There are 2 drawers, enough space for all my "junk" I like to have handy at my bedside. There is also the space between the top of the nighstand and the drawers - for me, that was the perfect place to put a surge protector to keep my cell phone, Nook, ipod, etc. while charging overnight. I love it!

Once assembled, this is a beautiful piece and very solid. It does not look or feel like box furniture. I highly recommend it.

I have had the Aristo Halifax collection since 2008 (Coffee table, end tables, TV stand and side table), I love the whole set. I am working on increasing my collection now by purchasing the rest of the living room and bedroom sets. They are sturdy, I have moved them 4 times (government worker) over the years and other then some minor scratches that cover easily with pledge they have withstood the hard tests. They are heavy so if your looking for something light, this is not it, but they will last. I never write reviews but I cannot recommend this furniture highly enough. I have decorated my whole home around them.

Love the stand. It fits beautifully in a small room and looks expensive. The deep color is eyecatching with light gray walls (with a tint of purple). The stand was a bit smaller then I thought, but with the 2 drawers it more than compensates for storage. It took one person to put it together and was a bit daunting because of all the pieces to it. The end result was worth it.
