First of all, this is a beautiful piece of furniture. It is rather complicated to put together (took me 4 hours) but well worth the work. The stand is very solid and well constructed. The one thing I would recommend before purchasing this stand is to measure your components. Mine fit perfectly into the side cabinents. By perfectly, I mean absolutely no room to spare on either side of them. This makes for a great look but can be exceedingly difficult for wiring and adjustment purposes. Also, note that the door hinges are on the inside of the cabinet doors. If you receiver is like mine, you will have to take the doors off to get your components inside. If you need to rewire or add a component, the doors will need to be removed in order to fit the new component in the cabinet or to accomodate the removal of your receiver for rewiring.I recommend this stand but make sure you know what you are getting into.

Another wonderful experience with Overstock. The entertainment center arrived very quickly and in flawless condition. Looks more expensive than it is and really gives the living room a more polished look. My husband is great at assembling so it was a breeze for him to put together but I gave that aspect a 4 since I know not everyone will find it so easy. Highly recommend. I also have the Aristo buffet.

Having read the reviews I wasn't surprised by the difficulty in assembly but by taking my time, analyzing and modifying the instructions, I was successful in completing the job. When I reached Step 5, I used the fixed shelf to provide stability while turning the unit on end using two rented clamps to pull the side panels (C & D) and Division Panels (E & F) together before tightening the Camlocks. After completing one end, I turned the unit over to the opposite end and followed the same procedure. I thought the unit was beautiful and unique in its design from viewing the pictures provided and haven't been disappointed and would like to add the chest of drawers along with the bed table I purchased along with the Entertainment Unit. The 46" Sony Bravia LCD I purchased earlier this week looks terrific on the Unit.

i ordered this entertainment center to be able to put my audio and visual stereo components away in the shelves. The entertainment center is nice in appearance but the shelves are two small to be able to store standard sized stereo equipment. I have a blue ray dvd player that will not fit on the shelves inside the unit. It took about 3 hours to put together. I'm keeping it now that its together and I put the components on the open shelf just below the table surface but I'm disappointed in its usability. Should have been much more for the price.

My wife is impressed by this console. We have a lot of custom made furniture in our house from my father in-law so we are spoiled with solidly built quaility furniture. This unit was perfect for what we needed. It was easy to assemble, looks great and fits our AV equipment. I would mention that the open space is 4" tall and slim AV equipment fits perfect in this space. I gave it one less star on workmanship because one of the top locking connectors would not engage to it's post. It does not hinder our enjoyment of the furniture and it is not enough to send for a new part. I worked around this problem and we are enjoying our new furniture.

I've been looking for a nice entertainment center for a while. The ones at the local furniture stores weren't all that impressive and pretty expensive in comparison to this one. This first caught my eye because of the color of the wood and the design. I then read reviews on it and everyone was saying how heavy and sturdy it was and that it was made of rubberwood, not that cheap particle board that you find in others. When I finally decided to purchase it, it was out of stock. I flagged it and a few weeks later, I received an email saying that it was now available. Before I ordered it, I signed up to become an Overstock member so I could receive an additional discount, but ended up ordering it on Presidents Day and received an even larger discount. A few days later, Overstock had its birthday celebration, which included a better discount than what I received before and they even credited my account for the difference after I emailed them about it without any hassles. It took just a few days to deliver with the free, basic delivery option and it showed up in two large/heavy boxes. It took me about 3 or 4 hours to assemble it on my own. I took my time so I wouldn't mess it up and have to re-do anything. All the holes are marked and it can be done with just a screw driver, but a power drill makes some areas easier. I would definitely recommend this product along with Overstock.com's top notch custormer service.

Having purchased ready-to-assemble furniture from other sites and stores, I have to say that this was the best experience I have had to date. The instructions were clear, it was very easy to assemble, and looked sharp upon completion. Great product.

I recently finished assembling this entertainment center and would like to add my two cents.Like most of the reviews have said, there are a lot of parts and is a little overwhelming at first. I took the instructions out the night the furniture was delivered. I read the instructions and got familiar with all the parts and hardware. I found this extremely helpful when I started to put the furniture together the next day.The instructions are not the greatest, but once you are familiar with all the steps before you start assembly, you will find the process much easier. I laid out all the parts being very careful not to scratch any of the surfaces and it went together fairly easy. I took two days and probably two and a half hours in total time. I used a drill to drive most of the hardware. I set the clutch to the lightest setting so that I wouldn't strip or damage any of the predrilled holes. Using a screwdriver is advisable if you are not used to a power drill, but it will take a lot more time.I have to say this entertainment center is a great piece of furniture. It is solid and has some weight behind it. I thought it may be a little flimsy as it is a put together yourself thing, but it goes together quite solid. I did put some felt on the drawers and doors so that they would not slam shut, but other than that, this came out great. This is a great value as we did much research searching for an entertainment center for our new TV. If you are on the fence with this product, get it. You will not be disappointed. I ordered on a Wednesday and delivery was the following Monday. Hooray for Overstock.com! This was our first purchase with Overstock and will be looking again.

This is the first time I've purchased furniture online. While the reviews helped build my confidence, I was concerned the product might not look as good in my home. The two large boxes arrived in about a week. The instructions were far easier than I thought they would be based on other reviews. I had one problem when I mounted the drawer glides on upside down - it was an easy error to fix. There was plenty of additional hardware included. The build quality is outstanding. I put it together by myself in about 3 hours. I would definitely recommend having two tools on hand - a power drill with a Phillips bit and a rubber mallet. The piece looks even better in real life than in the pictures. The espresso finish is identical to the color shown in the pictures. This piece was a steal. If you're having doubts about buying furniture on Overstock.com, take the plunge. You won't regret buying this piece.

It is always a leap of faith purchasing furniture sight unseen but this media center was worth it. It was packed with care, thought and pride. It arrived quickly and in good condition despite the long trip and dinged boxes. It took me three hours to put together. Needed husband's muscle a few times and a long clamp came in very handy to keep things tight while screwing parts together.. Only one part did not line up perfectly but a quick flip fixed that. And there was one chip that could have been glued on without a trace but another flip hid that. The directions were reasonable but you must look very carefully at the diagrams when assembling some parts. What the diagrams don't show you , logic will. Of all the things I have ever assembled, this was the least frustrating!The finish on the top (sort of rough)could be a bit nicer, but perhaps it is the nature of the wood grain? There is a decorative groove around the top that will collect dust so I am adding a glass top.We are VERY pleased with this unit..It is strong (heavy!) , attractive and we feel we got an excellent value for the money! We love this piece of furniture! It looks expensive and is very heavy and well made. We read the reviews that others have written before we ordered it and agree that the only downside was the amount of time it took to put together, My husband and I built our own house, so we know how to bulid and it still took us about 3 and a half hours to complete it. But it is wonderful if you don't mind spending the time.

I'm very pleased with this item. My husband did the assembly while I was at work, and said it was a bit trickier than he expected, but he was able to assemble it perfectly in a couple of hours. It looks beautiful, and feels very solid.

We just got this entertainment center and are very pleased with it. Yes, it takes a long time to assemble (it took me and my husband about 2 hours and 30 minutes). One piece of advice...FOLLOW the directions on the manual and you will be fine. It is also nice to have 2 people if you are not used to assembling something this complex. It looks beautiful and is perfect for our 47 inch plasma. The wood is very heavy and seems to be of good quality. Be careful about scratching it, because it does scratch easily. One thing we were unhappy about is that the UPS delivery man left the boxes in the parking lot on top of the snow leaning against my friend's Cheep Cherokee. All he would have had to do was ring the doorbell and we could have opened the garage door for him. This is NE OH so it's not like the sun is shining everyday.

The Aristo entertainment unit receives a "thumbs up!" This unit is exactly what I was looking for, a combination wood drawer front and glass doors which provides a nice visual comination of wood and silver from other media components. I was very apprehensive ordering a piece of furniture that had to be assembled, fearing it would look "low budget" but I am extremely happy with the outcome. My handyman had it put together in two hours. The unit is constructed of heavy wood, the hardware (door hinges, drawer slides) are nice quality and the warm chocolate finish is very nice.

I had been looking a long time to find the right piece of furniture. Took a chance on this because of the price and the construction of it. We had already purchased a console table made out of rubberwood on Overstock and we were please with the quality of it. So when I purchased this entertainment unit I knew the material used in constructing it would be sturdy and heavy. My husband put it together and it is great. The one feature I really like is the open shelf area below the top of the unit. I guess you could say that is what get drawing me back to it. I have already ordered the tall bookcase/shelf unit to match it.

It took my husband and me 2 days to put it together but it was worth it. It's a very stable and well built stand. The only complaint I have is that they don't predrill the holes. Also, one knob is loose since the hole wasn't drilled deep enough.

I purchased the entertainment center along with two side tables and was excited to get them all in a timely fashion. I put all three pieces together all by myself (middle aged woman). Having the correct tools did make the task go quickly. I put the side table together first which I think helped me to understand the instructions and how the pieces went together when it came to putting together the entertainment center. Love the color and available storage unit provides. I received numerous compliments on the pieces.

This was my first time buying from Overstock.com. Ordering was simple, shipment was as expected and in very short time, the value was great but I am glad I have a talented Mr. fixer for a husband. I was very pleased with the way my media stand looked. It looks expensive but the price was what I could afford. There was no damaged pieces. It took my husband nearly 5 hours to put it together alone and he had to make some adjustments that just anybody could not have done. A major piece to the bottom was too long and my husband had to cut off approx. a quarter of an inch to make it work. Then the drawers were not fitting and he had to route out the slide area just a little. This is the part that I am glad he was able to do, otherwise we would have had to send it back. The hardware did not properly fit the screws, they were cross threaded, so I ended up buying all new pulls, which was not a big deal. I have a beautiful stand that looks the way it is suppose to and I am pleased and would buy again. The only thing better would have been if everything would have fit without the fuss. Somebody else may not have felt that way though.
