The carpet is bright and beautiful, and has given our family room a whole new look. Looks beautiful on the Mexican terra cotta tile floors with dark brown leather sofa and dark stained furniture.. It replaced an old hand-knotted Tibetan carpet. The new carpet is so much softer. It is welcoming and you just want to sit and enjoy it. Totally recommend.

This is a beautiful rug. The colors were true to those displayed on my screen, and to the written descriptions. One review of this rug mentioned that the brown background has different shades of brown, giving an antique-ish look. Well, mine wasn't quite that charming. There were two shades of brown, but they create a kind of stripey look. If not for that, I would have given the style of the rug an Excellent rating. The pile is extremely thick and plush. The only caution is that "hand tufted" -- which this rug is -- is vastly different from "hand knotted" in terms of durability. If you have animals, especially cats, they easily (and happily) pull up clumps of tufts; I expect that there will soon be bald spots in the rug. On the other hand, I have had hand knotted rugs for years, and they have held up beautifully against cats' and dogs' claws. All of that said, this rug is well worth the price and I recommend it without reservation.

"Hand-knotted All-Natural Striped Red/ Multi Rug" All items with this descriptor are not the same colors. I ordered thinking that they would match but they do not. Otherwise great quality and great price. Fast delivery.

The rug looks nice, for the price. I knew it wouldn't be a hand-knotted wool rug, so you need to know what to expect. The pile is barely a rug pile, but it's a rug. I am using it in a spare bedroom that might have 1 visitor a year, for a short period. The size for the price is amazing, even at this quality. It will get the job done and it looks good doing it!

As one would expect from the low price, tis rug is on the low end in terms of knot count. However, it is a hand-knotted rug. We use it as an entry rug around Christmas time. The only draw back is the wool fibers shed slightly. If it were used year-round and vacuumed often, it would lose its thickness after a while. Because it is so pretty, it would make an excellent wall hanging for the holidays.

Upon reading the other reviews I still felt the color issue was not going to be a concern, I'm extremely happy with this piece in our living room. The colors are as stated in the other reviews predominantly olive green, rust, and cream the colors are all muted, the quality is very plush!. There is some shedding which requires vacuuming often otherwise you'll have a lot of wool bunnies. This wool rug states it's a hand tufted wool rug versus a hand knotted wool rug, the difference being a wool tufted rug is that it's made using a crochet type needle and the pieces of wool are placed one by one into the backing, then the top is cut to provide an even/same height rug. A hand knotted is as stated, each piece is placed into the backing by hand and knotted into place which requires a higher level of skill. Hence the higher prices paid for a hand knotted wool rug. Just a bit of wool rug trivia ;)

Colors soft but fresh and it coordinates beautifully with another rug I have. Love the hand knotted look. No pulls even with my two dogs.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I just got the rug and it looks like something you'd get from Pottery Barn. Of course, it's got a hand woven quality which makes the weave uneven at times but I think that's to be expected. I think it a little darker than the picture and it has variability in the color, meaning that there may be one line that runs the whole length that's a little darker than the rest. It's subtle though. I think the rug is soft, not scratchy, but the knots are big so your bare feet will definitely feel the texture. One thing that I did notice is that my puppy found the messy knots immediately. I'll have to stay on top of that! All in all, a good product so far. There is a minor odor but that's been my experience with these jute and natural canvas type threads. It should go away.

The previous reviewer took issue with the carpet because the image looked silk screens on and somewhat cartoon like. Yes, it looks silk screened, but it is pretty richly colored and the weakest area - IMO the center( which looks like white snowflakes) is easily camoflagued by a coffee table and a few nice (and more authentic cushions). Will it pass muster as a genuine distressed overdyed Persian rug. Nope. But it isn't meant to do so. But this teal- indigo reproduction works in combination with my eclectic high - low design aesthetic. It helps that it's situated in a room large enough to contain authentic older hand knotted Persian carpets ( that overlap and hide a boring flat black edge) and also some modern less serious pieces of furniture.
