Looks good but slightly inconvenient assembly

madchyna from Orlando, FL, Nov 23, 2009

Overall I like this product, it looks very nice in my bathroom. I like having the small drawers to keep wipes, etc. As with others, we adjusted the bottom bracket away from pipes. I was expecting this so it was slightly inconvenient but at least I was prepared. My husband had to put a small piece of wood under one of the feet to steady the cabinet.

Arch Top Space Saver

nanmar535 from Youngstown, OH, Sep 29, 2008

It was not as difficult to assemble as some others have suggested. One of the better points was that each of the different sizes of screws, etc. comes packaged separateely and clearly labeled. There was no question about which was the correct screw for any portion of the assembly. The legs to my space saver were not of good quality (cracks in the wood). But I called the company and they shipped me a new set of legs that arrived in less than a week. I also had the problem of the brace on the lower legs being right where the water line comes out of the wall. The company should alter where this is placed.

Bathroom Spacesaver

Anonymous from Birmingham, AL, Jul 14, 2008

I read the other reviews before I bought this piece, so I was more prepared to assemble it. For example, someone wrote that the board that connected the two back legs had to be repositioned because it interfered with the incoming water line. This alerted me to the fact that I would need to measure my own lines; and sure enough, I too had to reposition the bracing board. Knowing this information saved me a lot of time and trouble. I would also recommend that when assembling the spacesaver, to take your time, lay out all the pieces and hardware in alphabetical and numerical order, and read the directions step by step. I also read a review that mentioned that one of the glass doors was not even with the other. I, too, had this problem. I took out the door that was low and placed a folded up piece of paper in the bottom hole where the hinge is inserted, then reinserted the hinge and screwed it into the door. The paper lifted the door and evened it with the other door. Just experiment with the amount of paper you place in the hole to adjust the height of the dooor. All in all, I'm very happy with the piece.

Not Bad, Looks Nice

trifthen from Chicago, IL, Jun 9, 2008

Not really sure what the rest of the reviews are complaining about, this was a breeze to assemble. The only difficulty is that the instructions are somewhat vague about part orientation, so I had a couple false starts before finishing everything up. The main problem is that the back brace at the bottom of the legs can't be moved to different holes, and your toilet water supply hose may be in the way. I have a huge drill, so I made new holes for the brace bolts, but others may have issues. Otherwise, it looks nice and increases the cabinet-space of our rather tiny bathroom. I wasn't sure it would fit, but it's surprisingly slim.

difficult assembly

mimilalah from wynantskill ny, Dec 28, 2007

When this was all finished it looks wonderful. It was quite difficult to assemble and several parts were missing. We had to make up the parts from our workshop. We have assembled many items in our life, but I believe this might have been the slowest to finish. But when we were done the cabinet is quite nice. This requires patience and slow going.
