The cutest table but awful construction..alot of the reviews are the exact problems I had, bad condensation on the top glass...but then i realized after taking some water out, it stoped the condensation. the wires were horribly annoying, being triped on for awile, until i discoverd that if you buy a really long extension cord you will only see one cord running across the room, (I guess one cord is better than 3 different cords!)The light was the worst, why would you build a light on the bottom of a tank, duh it goes on top! You cant see the fish!...but then I discovered i could purchase a neon 36' fish light that could be assemble on top for $150...! The heater that goes on the side in plane view is big and reallly noticeable, It didnt match my blue rocks at all..:( ....The air filter thats sits in the middle of the tank is reallly noticable and will float up.....unless you go outside and find some rocks to put in thier to hold it down...I figureed that out after awile!:)....But I ended up buying a $40 volcano to cover up the middle, it was really cool but eventually a waste of money...why because......i took that darn thing back!!!! I wouldnt sugest it unless you want just a glass 36' table as a coffee table, but to use a fish tank...Lol...you may aswell forget that!
I have had the table for 3 months now and I have not had any problems with condensation, BUT I decided to just use it with goldfish and thus did not need to keep the temperature up. The air filter, heater, filter, light were all poor quality. I replaced them with a quiet filter, real plants and no light (my fish freaked out when lit from below) and I am now very happy with how the tank looks.
I am thinking of purchasing this but will wait until manufacturer changes the design. Some suggestions: 1) put in a battery so don't need cord running from table to outlet. 2)Upgrade accessories 3)install light on sides 4)nstruct to fill with water up to certain level so as to eliminate condensation problem 5)include heavy duty pads to secure glass to table so it doesn't mover around if touched 6) lower price on this model until new one is available. Please e-mail when this is done and I will purchase a few sets. Thank you, Marilyn
I got this table as a christmas present for my fiancee. To my suprise the shipping was rather quick so my experience began great. We gave gifts early as to enjoy the table with family. To our dismay after opening everything, we saw that the pump tube and heater wire would be clearly seen on one side of the table rather then discreetly hidden underneath. The single bulb under the table just doesn't offer enough light when you add stone to the base. The glass top constantly shifts if you accidenly bump it cause they used felt toppers instead of rubber
Not near as elegant as it looked in the display picture, after I had it assembled. Also, the workmanship on it is not all that great either. Parts are not exactly as they are described in the manual. And I shouldn't have to hassle with the manufacturer to get the parts replaced with the correct ones. There are other problems as well. The glass lid has condensation all over it from the bottom, which really spoils the look from the top. This is the most negative aspect of the aquarium in my opinion.. And apart from the condensation, which really clogs the clear view which I was expecting from the top, the bubbles that are caused by the filter/air pump, leave water stains at the bottom of the glass lid. when they burstThe heater is really of very ordinary standards and isn't even designed for a 15 gallon aquarium.I could probably go one but I just wanted to list some of my main concerns. All in all, it isn't a horrible purchase, and I guess I could fix some of the things, but not a convenient/satisfactory way to get it working. If anyone has any ideas on how to get the water condensation issue fixed, please let me know.
We just set up this table and it is so fun.....even the cat is entertained! It was easy to assemble and we bought really colorful gravel with bright fish. It took a little time to figure out the filter, but now it all works great. We also have the 24" end table, the cat sleeps on this one...must be the heater inside (and the entertaining fish).
We have been looking at these aquarium tables for a while and finally decided to buy it from Overstock. What a great price and the table is really cool. We set it up in less than 20 minutes. We also bought the end table, I am really glad we bought both, they look great.
