I previously owned a Kitchenaid Artisan. I received it 12 years ago as a wedding gift. 4 years ago I lost it in a divorce and I hear its still going strong. So after a long time of mashing potatoes, mixing batter and dough by hand, I decided to get a professional model. And might I add, what a great addition to my kitchen. Looks great, way more powerful than my previous tilt head. As far as factory refurbished you ask? You'd never know the difference. Besides the box and manual clearly stating its a refurb, there wasn't a nick, scratch, mark or scuff on it and it performs flawlessly. For the same price as new KA entry level model, this is a steal and well worth a second look if your on the fence.
We love our Kitchenaid coffee maker. This is the only 14 cup maker we have found, plus the carafe allows you to pour without spilling the coffee. For years, we used another brand and the coffee maker made good coffee; however, the carafe was made so that you could not pour from it without spilling the coffee. I have not had that problem with Kitchenaid. Love it!
This juicer performs well on leafy greens; however, it tends to get stuck with carrots. The problem is easily solved by holding the reverse button for a few seconds and then switching back to the forward mode, thus loosening the jam. Dry pulp, high yield of juice. Low noise. Looks sophisticated on the kitchen counter. The rating would be higher if the feeding tube is designed bigger, wider to help eliminate the need to cut fruits and vegetables into thin, small pieces prior to juicing.
